I’m just struggling to see how Ramsdale was player of the season at Bournemouth last season. I’m not really seeing anything to suggests he’s anywhere near Premier League standard.

Shot stopping, handling, aerial ability, positioning and kicking are all average at best. I really hope it’s just a confidence issue and he’s going to improve cause at the moment he looks a huge waste of money.

Ive seen better sunday league teams on the ball! We are worse than stoke.

Brewster is an ineffectual version of moose, I know hes young and getting to grips with our system but so was moose. rammers comes, goes, come and then goes again not first time this season. And we still don’t seem to be able to defend crosses. Other than that everything else is championship standard. Scary what losing JOC and Fleck has done to us.

It was a massive mistake to not replace JOC when we knew he was injured in the pre-season. Stevens at LCB keeps costing us goals. Lowe is getting schooled (Stevens in his natural position would fair better). Hence the problem with defending.

Disagree.....virtually every fan insisted we must buy Berge and Brewster
but said we’d have no chance because we don’t have the ambition to spend big.

As often the case...after the event.....damned if you do....damned if you don’t
Most of us were saying we need some creativity in midfield and some pace, somewhere...anywhere...neither of those glaring deficiencies were addressed. Instead we spent 23m on a striker who at the minute isn't even putting any effort in. Look at McGs effort v Brewster...its embarrassing

The negative posters are loving this aren't they. Chelsea only spent £200m Inthe summer, so yeah we should be bossing this.

😂😂😂😂😂😂

I must be a happy clapper, but that first half is a vast improvement on last week. Doing plenty going forward.

Not great defending to be honest, but that aside, loads of positives.

We might get something here. Next goal is crucial.

Brilliant possession for us in the 2 minutes added. I doubt you will ever see a trailing team keep such good possession on the left wing/half way line..... Ever. Fuck you Chelsea you can't even get the ball off us for best part of 2 minutes... UTB

That reverse ball by Norwood....
That floaty nothing ball to Lowe when given acres of space and the ball in the Chelsea half in the last few minutes, that killed the quick break and saw us just retain the ball...

2 really poor goals to concede, but overall it’s been good. We’re in this more than we were at half time last season, and I think if we can cut out the errors and continue to (generally) work the ball with purpose we’ll get a chance second half.

It is easy to blame Ramsdale but it is not easy to play behind this so called defense.

He made a superb save just now.

For every good save there’s a shot he doesn’t get close to, or a cross he doesn’t come for, or something he fumbles behind that he could really have kept hold of if he moves his feet quicker.

Good goal followed by a hideous negative half of football where we cowered in our half and smashed it long and repeated all the errors that see us bottom of the league. I keep saying it but we arent going to win games of football by defending, we need a balance and the ability to retain possession so we arent chasing the ball for 90 mins. You give any team that much possession then they will pin you in and outscore you!

wilder needs to sort this shit out. Passing has been hideous, and creatively (apart from the goal) shite!

Ramsdale is the least of our worries. Where the fuck has our team gone? What is this timid cowardly shit? How many more games before this negative, hoof shit gets thrown in the bin and we go after sides? Giving Liverpool, City and Chelsea the ball for 90 minutes and sit 10 men 40 yards with instruction to hoof high and long from our own goal is amateurish and frankly embarrassing.
The negative hoof shit isn't a 'plan'. We simply don't have the ability at this level to beat the press. We press teams, they play through it or round it. We get pressed and we go backwards, backwards and eventually to Ramsdale or a CB and because they're pressed it gets launched into a channel and we turn over possession.

We’ve gone from a truly innovative, attack-minded side to Burnley 2.0 with Kevin Blackwell as manager and 4 Monty’s in our midfield. I can deal with losing, I’m a Sheffield United fan FFS, but I absolutely detest this football, it’s rank and if I supported anyone else I’d want us to go down playing this shite.

Still in it at 2-1..Good start, but struggled with balls into the box.. 2nd goal in particular was soft...take a draw though, and they look a lot better side than last year.

We are a team that can't afford to carry players through bad patches and at the moment some players are shockingly out of form. Stevens has gone backwards massively in the last 8 months and the midfield has not won a tackle or second ball since the 10th minute.

Very worrying at the minute

Its not over yet....Fair to say that Thiago Silva still oozes class.... however, Brewster isn't giving him any trouble whatsoever. Someone give Brewster some service to his feet, we've got the wrong pair on if we are going to lump it.

We’ve spent over £100 million over 2 seasons. We shouldn’t be this ineffectual.

When you’re spending money like we are, it becomes difficult to plead poverty.

We have done £100m in the last 18 months.

Forgive you if you haven’t noticed 😉.

Ramsdale's an issue but Brewster is abigger problem. The money was very adventurous for a player who hasn't done it above Championship level.

That said, I trust he'll make me eat my words before the final whistle.

Sorry, disagree completely. There is a clear change in our approach. There’s never an attempt to play out from the back, and we play as though we don’t practice passing to marked players and building from the back in training.

Starter off ok but as soon as they started to play we just fell apart. Constant runners between Lowe and Stevens. Far, far too easy. The same ball over and over again. Egan and Bash look sloppy. Norwood is playing well but Lunny is largely absent and isn't helping Lowe out at all. We need Osborn on for him.

Ramsdale needs to command his area more. Also need to try and hold onto more shots.

For the third game running Brewster has done absolutely nothing. He's getting no service but at least McGoldrick is making it difficult for them. I really don't see the point of him being on the pitch in this kind of game. Offers absolutely nothing. Not necessarily his fault, but he shouldn't have started any of the last 3 games, for me.

We're playing with fear and showing them a bit too much respect again.

Understandable considering the circumstances but we need to have more belief and confidence in ourselves.

Get Burke on for Brewster and we could get a result here.

COYRAWW!

I don’t think the signing itself is so bad. We’ve signed a player that could potentially be starting for Liverpool in the future.

The biggest problem is that we need him to come in and do the business now which isn’t fair on him really. He’s also not getting much chance to show what he can do either.
