No one will know for sure until the government deigns to appearIf we have to go to lockdown again does football stop or not ?.
Why sadly?Sadly think football will carry on for us!
Why sadly?
The elite's is that just them who are playing in europe. As null and voiding might be our only hope to stay up!
We are boring to watch and don't look like scoring and are sleep walking to relegation currently unless we wake up quick individually and collectively and the manager sadly ;as much as I love him.
One of my mates did not even watch us today - played golf. That sums up current feeling sadly how dull we are to watch.
The last few years I have looked forward to games so much but now not going to games and the lack of crowds etc combined with United going to shit has not made it the most enjoyable weekends of watching. Can't say I have watched one game this season and thought I really enjoyed that and it is an entertainment business aswell as of course a results one. I rarely watch any other games now of other teams that is how I have kind of lost interest to some degree. Maybe if we were winning I would and I am a hypocrite but I am not sure? It just all seems a bit meh.
I might be on my own but would not be gutted if they stopped it until crowds came back but that might be looking at it through red and white eyes. From a purely selfish point of view - culling it would mean we could reset and go again next season but as I say it wont happen - Boris just said elite sport will continue.

That would cost us more in financially wise. It it becomes "null and void" then we lose a lot of tv money for the 2020-21 season and get only £100M from the 2021-22 tv money. We will have to pay two years wages (I believe our wages for 2019-20 were £53M) from the £100M tv money so that will mean we will have a very high debt not forgetting that we still have to pay the next instalments of transfer fees we agreed during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. As null and voiding might be our only hope to stay up!

If we continue to play all the matches this season and get relegated at the end of the 2020-21 season, then we get at least £100M tv money (from 2020-21) and pay this season's wages and then we will activate the relegation clause in all the contacts ready for the 2021-22 season meaning our wage bill for 2021-22 will be a lot less than 2020-21 season (hopefully we will still receive the parachute money).
It this season becomes "null and void" but we still stay up at the end of the 2021-22 season then we will get the tv money only from the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons but still pay three season's wages (2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23) meaning we will have to sell our key players.
So are you suggesting we would be better to finish the season and go down than it be null and void? Interesting way of looking things and you could be right.
Financially I think if we stayed in the league for 4 or 5+ (then say we did go down at some point, we get the parachute payments) years even with a curtailed season if that happened and loss of some income, that would still set us up better in the long term.
There is no guarantee you can get back and look how long it took us last time.
Wouldn't every club be in the same boat too if a null and void happened? So who'd buy our key players? Not sure anyone outside Berge would interest the top teams and the rest would be all flogging players too on your reasoning?
Not going to happen as the season will finish. If we go down the money we have accrued will soon disappear on operating costs and wages (even if they go down as per relegation clauses) as we have seen at many other clubs. The days of teams yo yoing off parachute payments seem to have long gone and worryingly more struggle and seem to go the other way as quick.
Concentrating on the tv money only, yes, I think we will be a lot worse off financially if a) this season becomes "null and void" and we get relegation at the end of the 2021-22 season than if b)we carry on playing all the games this season and get relegationSo are you suggesting we would be better to finish the season and go down than it be null and void?
