Not if you don’t live in the broadcast area, it isn’t.Why bother with sky bt now tv and amazon overcharging greedy twats.
Every Sheff Utd game home and away is live on Radio Sheffield for free.
That's what I am doing.
The clubs have royally misjudged the mood right now. People are fed up of the sort of football we are getting now. They aren't going to pay to see more of it. The worst thing is that the games of the big clubs will naturally generate more interest so it's more money going to the elite. No neutral is going to pay to watch Sheffield United v Burnley but they might to see Man Utd v Man City.I'm just looking at it from the perspective that I've not bought my season ticket so even if I have to pay £15 for every match I'm still going to save money.
Bang on Andrew. Sorry, I just can’t understand how anyone can compare the sterile, VAR fucked up disaster that we are watching now to a live match day experience. I’m paying my BT and Sky sports subs but there’s a limit. I’m damned if I’m going to sustain the whole overinflated circus with more of my cash. It’s simply disgusting in the context of what is happening. The obscene amounts earned by players is directly linked to how much we are prepared to be fleeced by the tv rights holders and I’ve had enough. Radio will do just fine until I can go to a live match again thanks. If everyone turned their backs on this scam we would get our game back. Most loyal supporters who are already pissed off about not being able to get into grounds are not going to pay to see something they don't enjoy that they got for free a week ago.
£14.99!!!! I can get a blowjob for that.
Our goals are as rare as blowjobs for me these days...
Where?£14.99!!!! I can get a blowjob for that.
£1,200,000,000 in transfer fees
£200,000,000 in agents fees
Pleading poverty through lack of match day income.
Charge loyal fans £14.99 (thanks for not rounding it up by 1p to £15) many on minimum wages having to try to budget to put food on the family table while McGuire et al can spend a reported £60,000 on a bottle of fizz.
I am ashamed Sheffield United voted in favour of this when Wilder blows our trumpet about not being ripped of by agents blah blah blah.
I was against the criticism of football clubs and calls for players wages to be cut at the start of the pandemic but now they’ve all lost the plot. They are all money grabbing pariahs and I hope football finances collapse and get reset at realistic levels over this. Shame there aren’t a few more Rashfords out there, he’s felt the pain fans are feeling![]()
Slight correction. It’s a global multi billion pound money laundering industry, which isn’t going to go back to what it was pre-1992.
My season tkt for last season was £200!The cheapest Kop matchday ticket for over 60’s cat B games was £22 last season, you can’t compare it to a season ticket price as it’s a one-off scenario.
One of my suggestions further up on this thread was just to charge people for an ST and then give them free TV coverage instead of the £15 option. That would generate a decent amount of cash for the club and then at least people know where they stand.
What I just can’t understand is that people were moaning saying that we couldn’t afford to sign decent players on high wages, yet the suggestion of putting their hands in their pockets is made and they start going mental. Folk can’t have their cake and eat it.
I understand your pint of view but surely it would start to wobble if enough people walked away? The whole charade is built on the amount Sky and BT are paying. Take away the audience and the value drops dramatically. There’s no way I would not watch a live game but I can happily live without the weekly parade of training sessions. I’m cancelling Sky and BT sport today, might seem pointless but it has to start somewhere. It won’t collapse, we all know it. Football fans are all talk and no action. The only way to change the system is for full boycotts, stop going to matches, cancel Sky/BT and don’t buy any merchandise. But other than a small minority, it doesn’t happen. The majority continue to have a little moan but keep paying.
I’ve just got to the point where I’ve accepted football as it is, there are elements I would like to change but I accept that high wages and agents are here to stay and it’s not the working class sport anymore. It’s a global multi billion pound industry, which isn’t going to go back to what it was pre-1992.
I don't have a huge issue with them going ppv if they did it from the restart with season ticket holders getting it free and at a much lower price. I get it. No fans. Need cash from somewhere.
But to go from as part of TV subscription to £15 per game? Wrong.
It's a messy world right now. The only thing straightforward about this is how it's pissed everyone offIt’s just far too messy linking match day tickets to TV coverage. So season ticket holders get it free, what about those without tickets? Do they pay for matches then? What about fans that have tickets but already pay for Sky/BT? Do they get a refund on their TV subscription or ticket money back?
At least this way is easy and straightforward. If you want to pay to watch, then pay, if you don’t then don’t.

Someone needs to start one of those social media campaigns like “Twenties Plenty” called “Fifteens Obscene”
£10 is a slightly more agreeable price. £15? Not a chance. It’s not pissed me off, I was pissed off that originally there was no legal way to watch United matches in the UK. Now there is a solution to that.
I would obviously prefer the matches to be shown free of charge but that isn’t going to happen. If Championship fans are expected to pay £10 a match for games not chosen by Sky, then why shouldn’t Premier League fans be expected to pay for matches not chosen by Sky/BT?

It's easy enough to find other means. Which is what I shall be doing.
