You would have to have it two or three times a year by the look of it.A vaccine won't make much difference then

Would the fans adhere to it? Will the club employ urinal police? Are the fans still going to be racing to be the first to leave the ground?
I imagine the biggest obstacle to a Covid safe experience are the fans themselves (or a mindless minority)
"No, our immune systems have dealt with the flu throughout human evolution so the majority are fine": just like Covid
"We still don’t know long term effects and we are now seeing what was perfectly healthy people before suffering lasting effects, sometimes severe.":
yet to see any proper numbers on this, do you have any?
"Comparing Covid to the flu is silly."
No, its really not silly, they are both similarly infectious and can cause severe harm to vulnerable people. They can both cause other fatal diseases to occur and are spread in a similar fashion so in what way do you think its silly?
"The government doesnt lock down for flu":
Exactly the point! so why should it for Covid?
Also, medical professionals do die from flu
The Virus doesn't know people are trying to avoid it. It's genius really......I can't understand how people are still catching this virus, social distancing, fucking masks, and people scared to leave the house.
Who is responsible for pushing these figures up?
Needs clarification - including THE DEAD or notI have a better solution, anyone who has had COVID already can be the first to go to matches.

Don’t have numbers on long Covid. We won’t for a while. Best be cautious until we do.
It’s not like the flu at all.
That's just one year of flu, try the same chart for a bad flu year or even the worst flu year with the Spanish flu.
You can’t make that comparison, we haven’t locked down in the previous years or placed restrictions on society. The lockdown will have surpressed the spread of the flu too.
The fact that numbers for the flu are so low shows that Covid is a lot more infectious and deadly as the restrictions is having a bigger impact on surpressing the spread of the flu than it is Covid.
If Spanish Flu happened now (and not at the end of a war, spread by soldiers with a reduced immune system, packed into trains on their way home and with inferior medical and health care and with a disease that kills the young and healthy and not the old and vulnerable) we would see restrictions like we are just now. I also don’t believe the older generations would be insisting on going about with their life telling the young to hide away and shield so the unaffected could get on with their lives. Instead, they’d be doing everything in their power to protect their children / grandchildren.

I'd say the low flu numbers this year are because most just got put down as covid. Here's a graph of covid deaths moved to align with the last 2 bad flu years. They look very comparible to me.

No chance, but that can be said about any venue that currently has restrictions. Unless you're suggesting football fans are more irresponsible than the customers of other sectors?
Yeah cos restaurants and cinemas are always being staffed by horsed policeman and St Johns Ambulance
Give me strength
Covid death rate currently expected to be around 1%. The Flu is 0.1%. That’s one in a hundred compared to one in a thousand. Massive difference. Comparing it to the flu is not helpful.
No legitimate source has a Covid death rate at anywhere near that. WHO themselves have said they think 750 million have been infected worldwide - that compares to a million dead. 0.13%. Literally the only difference to flu is the profile of who is most vulnerable.

Covid-19 kills far more than 0.1% of the people who catch it – Full Fact
The real death rate from Covid-19 is probably about five or ten times higher than 0.1%fullfact.org
As I say, no legitimate source
Ok, you’ll easily be able to show me a legitimate source where WHO are saying 760 million have had it and a death rate of 0.13%. The only info I can find on the WHO website clarifies exactly what the link I posted above states.
OK then, I'll go for the denominator:

Covid-19: World in ‘for a hell of a ride’ in coming months, Dr Mike Ryan says
WHO official estimates that 750m people globally have likely had coronavirus to datewww.irishtimes.com
Find me a numerator that's substantially higher than a million. Given every news source is counting dead cats as Covid deaths because narrative, good luck
Hallam again today, vs Parkgate (Rovrum) FA vase. Another good game with the visitors taking the lead and Hallam ending 3-1 winners.Seemed like they were not overly impressed with the ref. I thought the ref was alright for that level of football to be honest.
Last time I went I saw the most blatant Vinnie Jones style tackle go totally unpunished.
Yeah, fuck public health![]()

Over the last few weeks the infection rate in Sheffield has risen from less than 20 cases per 100,000 to over 300 cases per 100,000.
Over the last few weeks thousands of students have returned to Sheffield.
Coincidence???
I’m talking about everybody’s Grandad. The statement might seem flippant but whether it be football or anything else. The vulnerable should be shielded but everybody else should have choice to go to the game if they want to......with the right precautions obviously.I said public health, not my Grandad's health.

Hallam stronger 2nd half, making constant progress on the right flank.
Wages.Hallam, making constant progress on th right flank, you say? Doesn't that Jimmy Muir play there for them? Might be worth a punt...
