It could just be they're not entirely comfortable with being on camera and being interviewed. Having cameras film you playing games/training is very different to being sat interviewed in front of a camera

I'd be annoyed too if I got asked the same non-questions repeatedly.

"That's not a question, but obviously I am."

"That's not a question either, and I don't know what I'm supposed to add since I've just said exactly that."

99% of interviews with managers/players are pointless now anyway. They're all media trained and pretty much told what to say (it's even shown in signing videos when new players are briefed not to call us "sheffield" etc). After games players/managers can't give true opinions on referees etc if they're unhappy or they get fined, so the interviews are pretty pointless. Its not like a new signing is going to say theyre not happy to be here is it?
