Well if he has come from France he will need to quarantine I thick its eight days for elite athletes It is why Frankie Dettori is not riding at the York meeting

Going back to the most interesting part of this thread - Sweenys. Yes I used to go when they were next door to Suggs. There were 2 blokes Graham and Glen (or was it Glyn). when the arcade closed they moved to the Castle market where I continued to use them. They then expanded and had several shops all called Sweenys but with numbers so Sweenys 1, 2 etc. Think they had 4. One was on Ecclesall Road opposite the original Champs. The two partners then split and Graham had the Ecclesall Road Shop and Glen had one or more of the others but soon after I think most of the others closed. I think Sweenys on Eccy Road still going?
I'm pretty sure you're referring to Glyn who I remember from one of the Sweeny's on Staniforth Road, where he used to cut my hair for about a year. He now works (and has been for years) at Menzone on Mansfield Road, Intake.

He's likely to have got back to the UK before 4 a.m on Saturday morning as players were being tested at 10.00 a.m on the same day at Shirecliffe so no need for quarantine.

I hope we see the real moose this season.... I think he's technically a very good player but we need more than the odd cameo.... Over to you moose...

I'm excited to see the Moose after a full pre-season and after spending some time in France to hopefully help overcome/cope with the personal issues he's had.

He is everything we need in a striker, and the reason I believe we only need to sign one top additional striker this summer.
Its hardly a full pre season

There were 5 or 6 at one point as I used to use the one at Millhouses next to Abbey Friar chippy and I'm sure that was Sweeny 5. It's still there now but not sure how busy it is.

When I used to go there were about 8 or 9 different stylists all pretty working solidly all day it was that busy.

I find it promising in terms of his commitment that Moose was apparently training with Le Harve whilst the rest of the squad were on their holidays. Really hoping a bit of time away has done him the world of good. Happy to ignore his social media.

I thought I’d try Sweeny 5 when I moved to Millhouses about 10 years ago and was served by a lady I later found out was Russian. Everything was ok until the last few minutes when a bizarre conversation took place:
Her....Tippy net?
Me....Sorry?
Her....Tippy net? (Louder)
Me....Sorry?
Her....Tippy net? (Louder)
Me....Tippy net?
Her....No, Tippy net?
I looked in the mirror at the stylist in the next chair desperate for help.....she smiled and said “she wants to know if you want a tapered neck” to which my girls says in exasperation “yes tippy net”!

Back to Glyn at menzone for next cut.

Elite athlete & Frankie Dettori in same sentence as the Moose 🤣🤣 love the satire!!

Judging by his Instagram he's still in France...

Yes. Still nobbing about pretending he's in rap videos with his mates.
Meanwhile the lads are busting lungs on the training ground to be ready for next season.

Sadly it doesn't look like clicking anytime soon with Mousset, which is a huge shame given his considerable talent.
I think we should keep him for another year as he offers something different off the bench. After that, this time next Summer - final year of his contract - I see him being shipped out. Back to France at a middling club where he will continue his decline.

Hope to be proved wrong.

How's he supposed to bust a gut in training if he's under an enforced 14 day quarantine alone at home in Sheffield?

Perhaps Wilder and the staff have taken a more pragmatic approach with Moose... it's better he be with his family and new born if he's going to be stuck at home for a few weeks than by himself in Sheffield

Any official comment on whether he's at Shirecliffe or not + if not , where he is + why ?

If he’s still in France then that speaks volumes for me.
His heads either not in it and they are letting him try and get his head right, or Wilder doesn’t want him at the club.
He’s had more time off than anyone at the club and has offered little effort or application to the club, fans and most importantly those lads he plays alongside that run their blood to water every day.

I get sick of hearing the “woe betide me” excuses for people’s failures. Quite frankly it’s becoming the excuse of preference for everyone who just can’t be arsed to get their head down and get on with it. Half the world it seems claims to be anxious and depressed Simply because their life isn’t what they want it to be And expect a leg up from someone without actually earning it.
I’m sorry, but it has to be said, if the lad doesn’t want to be playing football and doing the job he’s paid to do and instead wants to be at home dicking about with his friends then clear off.
Bad and sad things happen, using those as excuses for your own failures won’t solve anything and is just being dishonest with yourself. He will be another ex footballer washed up with no money blaming the world and his awful luck for it going wrong while spiralling to further depths.

Actually infuriated me that lads like him with such incredible opportunities end up as Mousset is heading.
