Read an article last night saying the money that was supposedly lost via payments back to broadcasters etc has been deferred till a future date so the original money that was expected will be paid out. Picture below is rumoured payouts for every club.

There was a great thread about this on Twitter this morning. Not sure where your table is from but his estimate was pretty much the same. It also reckoned that our rebate could be around £17m to be paid out across future seasons.

I guess what this doesn’t take into account is the lost revenues elsewhere due to Covid, but the amount of money we’re getting (due to our exceptional league position) plus reports of the rebate being spread out over future seasons is definitely good news for our finances.

The table was from him I believe via another account, obviously it will be paid back eventually but saves paying back upwards of £20 Million in one hit

Holy shit...an increase of £125m on the previous year!!
Wonder how that changes the clubs value as a whole now....all the assets plus the revenues it generates...must put the club at £100m?

Wow, we are certainly in a different ball park to league 1

Does that mean we no longer need to sign the Michael Higdon's and Fabian Brandy's of the football world anymore?

Cheek of sky sports wanting money back they literally showed a game a day for the last 3 months probably getting the best viewing figures they’ve ever had

I thought those figures were crazy then I watched this about the premier league looking at starting there own streaming service like Netflix/Amazon Prime

Probably, albeit reduced - if there were no games on, don't doubt that companies paying big cash to advertise at half-time would have demanded rebates
Very simply put, the PL were unable to deliver on the contract they signed up to with the TV companies, so SKY, BT and the like had every right to raise questions.
All games were then televised by those that already have existing deals for PL games which would suggest to me that deals were done to limit the chance of the relationships turning nasty and potentially ending up in court. The season actually finishing saved a lot of clubs a significant amount of money.

£132m in this season with a potential £17m owed back to the broadcasters at some point

If Brooks gets sold on then that helps take care of any money we owe back.
I personally hope they keep Brooks as his value would increase if he had a fit season under his belt, even in the Championship.
