A season usually lasts 9 months, not 3.
That's twice as long as Mousset performed for

What he's asking for and what he's worth are 2 separate things.Yeah I saw that and I dunno if I can believe that ? 20k for a 15/20 million pound player not too sure about that
If lundstram asking for 30k a week then that’s probably about right for a solid premier league midfielder which he proved last season
He’s not holding the club out to dry or been greedy he’s just asking for what players in comparison are getting.
Shame that he’ll end up leaving but he’ll get 30k at other clubs

Not saying you're wrong but who says it's club policy? McCabe is not long gone so was it his policy and princey has adopted the same? Alternatively it may have been McCabe's policy but princey see's it differently.Wilder wont bust our wage structure for no player ,we do miss signings because of it.
Not disagreeing with it either ,its the only way to run a football club .
If Lunnie or his agent think they can bully Wilder into submission ! No chance ! Its club policy.
Will be interesting to know who wants him,
cant think of any premiership club who is in a position to pay him a lot more than us.
He's had one good season at this level ,he's far from a proven premiership player.
But which might also be the going rate for similar players elsewhere. I can see the argument both ways.No-one is going to perjure themselves in Court and make up what a player is being paid. So McBurnie is on £20k a week. If that is true then Lundstram asking for £30k a week is not asking for what players in comparison are getting he's asking to be the best paid player at the Club. Maybe thats why the Club can't agree a deal with him.
How do you know ? No one knows what he’s asking forWhat he's asking for and what he's worth are 2 separate things.
You should find the forbes article with him from last week talking about a wage structure and a similar system to NFL where they have a salary cap. Said they wont make stupid decisionsNot saying you're wrong but who says it's club policy? McCabe is not long gone so was it his policy and princey has adopted the same? It would be quite natural for our players to question why they are only paid half of what other similar PL players are paid (wouldn't it?)
Then we are offering what we think hes worth....How do you know ? No one knows what he’s asking for
Maybe we’re offering 15k and lowballing him
Good luck Lunny, but hurry up and go so the football club can move on

Mark Duffy: demands better contract despite being one of the likely high earners in the Championship team, being 33, and looking unlikely to play much for us in the future.
Reaction from some: it’s a shame Wilder hasn’t managed to find a way to keep him. Hope they can still work something out.
John Lundstram: demands better contract off the back of a successful PL season, likely on one of the lowest wages in the squad, is 26, likely to be backup if he remains.
Reaction from some: he can fuck right off, owes Wilder everything in his life, etc.
How do you know that’s not for his previous years salary at Swansea on a payroll.
If he is on 20 that would be the bare basic and it would be heavily bonus incentivised
Isn't the difference in reaction somewhat (if not fully) explained by what they have done on the pitch for us?
It could easily be claimed that Duffy was bought when we were at a desperate point and helped transform us into what we have become.
Isn't the opposite a claim that could be levelled at Lunny (i.e. he joined a club on the up and barely played a part and now has been transformed by being with us)?
You earn the credit (nay, adulation) that supporters give, and this isn't a club where it comes easily and quickly.

I'd be very interested to learn which four Prem clubs feel he could improve their midfield. I'd guess Burnley, Newcastle, West Brom and Southampton.
If he feels he can earn more and play more (especially as a DCM where he looks far more comfortable than RCM) elsewhere and wants to go then he leaves with everyone's best wishes.
I certainly think he's replaceable at RCM - my only concern is replacing his goals.
as far as I can see the club haven't even confirmed that they're after these players, never mind on the verge of buying them.
What would be the sense in doing that?
it has been public knowledge for a long time that JL rejected the fresh terms offered.
So after the publicity by his agent , surely a club would have made an offer by now ?
Player doesn't have to be on the transfer list for offers to come in.
But no club has.
Why not ?
So now he's on the list - at his own request or has CW just put him there ?
You would think , if he has so many PL admirers , he must have requested it.
But I get the impression CW has done it , to get rid of JL's negative waves , the contract dispute + to salvage a fee before he walks for nowt.
JL has scored some good goals but he never looks like a natural on the ball to me.
He doesn't tend to keep it , carry it or run at defences with it.
I wouldn't let him go until we've got Cash & Swift in. For once the buyers will have to wait till WE get our targeted replacements.
I can't understand why he was so upset by Berge coming in because the latter was always going to be a Norwood replacement.
And in fact Berge was out of position + quite poor when he first came in , whereas Lunny looked good + I remember wondering why we'd got Berge when he was being subbed off for Lunny who looked good in comparison.
But no manager or squad can tolerate the mardiness JL's shown since lockdown - I really can't understand how such an attitude can help JL's cause either , in terms of what a new club might think of him.
Such a shame for both parties that we've got this toxic situation now + I rather feel we'll be having Berge , Cash & Swift duke it out for RMF , with the added tussle between Berge & Norwood for CMF and the one between Swift & Baldock for RWB.
My take is that JL will leave just when have the interesting situation of CMF , RMF & RWB being scrapped over by 5 right- footed players , of which he could have been one.
But if he can get more money elsewhere , then I understand his decision.
I think there would have to be alot of people playing the game for the Robinson one to be just a rumour and nothing substantial in it. Cakir one im not sure as to the legitimacy due to it being from Turksih media but understand you pointsI'm not saying they should, my point is people are getting themselves in a tizzy thinking a signing is on the verge of being announced based on Twitter rumours and maybe the occasional word from a journalist...who based it on Twitter rumours.
We were about to sign Cakir a week ago, people were patting themselves on the back cos we'd signed Antonee Robinson, but none of it is based on solid intel, it's all whispers and hearsay. It just seems strange how things can get so worked up based on tweets.
I'm not having a dig at the club for not communicating their targets.

Well he is to be fair to him?Proven?![]()
Osi’s take was that as far as your lifestyle and family are concerned there is little if any difference between 2m a year and 3m.

You also said he was underpaid.I know. I’ve said above that he could have signed that.

Perhaps turning down a payrise might have contributed to his wage being lower than some who agreed to a payrise.Yes. As I said, both are true.

At the same time, by not signing a new deal he’s probably done himself out of a chunk of earnings, so of course he could have affected his own situation.
