Think OGS will take Hendo in house and use him as a kick up the backside to encourage DeGea to up his game.
 



What people are failing to see is signing a keeper of our own and paying him wages is an asset.

signing Henderson on loan again and paying him double the wage structure is not financially responsible at all.

we needed the confidence he brought us in the first year back in the league.

now we need to sign someone who we could potentially keep for 3-4 years and sell on for a massive profit and keep developing the football club

No, we shouldn't suffer mistakes, but our club is certainly a more nurturing one or will at least afford him more patience. Not that we're in the business of bringing up someone else's kids, only for them to then leave. But Man United's fans are an expectant, entitled, ungrateful bunch who essentially hark back to the Fergie days and for that reason tolerate very few set backs, and have very little patience for players needing time to grow.

Agree with almost all of what you said. Your statement that we shouldn’t suffer mistakes is to my mind a bit misleading, as goalkeepers range from the likes of me (everyone was amazed when I made a save) to the likes of Pat Jennings (everybody was amazed when he made a mistake). The key is how many mistakes and how the keeper bounces back (as well as all the positive aspects each keeper brings). They are all human, just like strikers, who do miss sitters (Ronaldo at Bramall Lane, for example).

Not necessarily, the same as saying "leave it" or other similar. It's only a foul if it's used to deceive the opposition.

VAR would give it, despite them not having sound. After 5 minutes lip reading our player from various angles it would be awarded as a foul.

Loads of advantages to keeping him. He is a known quantity having played for us for the past two seasons. We know his strengths and weaknesses and he’s already familiar with our coaching staff, teammates, tactics, etc. Whoever we sign is 99% likely to be inferior to Henderson, meaning our team would be weakened. If we can get him back on loan it is total a no brainer as far as I’m concerned.

Because Man Utd are likely to offer him a lot more money to ward off Chelsea. We might have to pay him double what our highest earner is on.

it’s a no brainer for me instead of paying 70-80k a week in wages plus a loan fee to sign 2 players on 35-40 (way above our current average) who would significantly improve the team in more than 1 position and potentially have a salable asset down the line

Don’t disagree that in an ideal world we should look to bring someone in a permanent basis. My concern is we will be using a big chunk of our transfer budget on a player who won’t be as good as the guy he’s replacing and it will leave us short of money to strengthen the other areas, particularly up front as we’re going to need to score more goals next season. UTB
 
I think he’s good but my original point of him not getting criticism because of being a fans favorite is also true.

he has directly cost us a good few times and another keeper would of taken a lot more stick, now the transfer/loan isn’t going to be in line with our Budget or wage structure it’s time to say thank you and move on.

It's astonishing to think that some folks have the kind of disposable income to be able to afford to live in such places. I'm not sure I'd spend that kind of money just to live in central London, even if I could easily afford it. It would be far cheaper to buy a nice property out in the countryside and commute in, or even stay in a top hotel when required. But obviously, some folks do!

Are you considering putting a bid in on this one S12 Blade? How about a nice little pied-a-terre in Page Hall instead? ;)
