Well it gives me no pleasure saying it I wish it was not the case but unlike our neighbours across the city we must live in the real worldUnfortunately you are right mate
Unpopular opinion but I don’t think Hendo is good enough for Manu. His distribution is piss poor, “Top” teams these days want a ball playing keeper.
Unpopular opinion but I don’t think Hendo is good enough for Manu. His distribution is piss poor, “Top” teams these days want a ball playing keeper. He’s also had one the best defences in English football in front of him for the last two seasons. He’s riding the wave of hype coupled with DDG in calamitous form.
1. He will be expected to play the ball short for Manure. None of us know what his short range passing is like because well hes instructed to boot it long for us, so how anybody can say his kicking is an issue is beyond me.
Rarely comes and claims crosses do you watch us at all ? Hes very comfortable under a cross and comes and claims with authority when he has to.
Is he the best in the league ? No is he a fantastic goalkeeper and in the top half dozen and are we lucky to have him ? Yes
Maybe your trying to convince yourself as to why OGS should send him here again next year but what you have written really has little bearing on reality in terms of his ability.
Good point, what struck me more than de gea’s fallibility last night, was maguire. He seems to be regressing this season since leaving Leicester.I honestly believe behind manures defence Henderson will be found to be no more than above average, many games he rarely has much to do, and he mostly knows and trusts his defence at the Blades. Manure defence pretty fragile and even with Henderson's confidence it won't paint over the cracks, if even the "best keeper" in the world gets such a loss of form and confidence, that young fella is going to get hurt physically and mentally .
Not a popular view but I think I'll be proven correct. We shall see.
No...never watch him at all, just making it up as I go along. Give me strength!!!
Just because your opinion differs doesn’t mean you can assert me never watching him.
Yes he claims the nice simple floaty crosses, that’s a given and the bare minimum. But that’s it.
And he doesn’t play the short passes because firstly his first touch isn’t consistently good enough to trust him to do it, and also because his passing just isn’t good enough in both aim or weight.
Great shot stopper, loads more work to do on Claiming Crosses, command of his area, starting position and kicking.
And finally, not at all convincing myself or hoping we can get him back. Would prefer we got our keeper and developed him like we have other areas of the pitch.
He’s made it clear of his goal and we have zero chance of getting him long term so how about we find our own keeper and look to the long term because regardless of whether we get another season or not we have to sort the issue at some point.
Statistically claimed more crosses than De Gea this season and is top 10 in that statistic. Outside of Pope who is the gold standard (and with his all round game for me should be the undisputed England #1 despite Hendo playing for us) he compares favorably or almost as well as any other keeper in the league with regards to crossing.
You have no idea what his short range passing is like because its not a game we play, you could well be right he doesn't look the most comfortable with the ball at his feet but whilst there is an element of it being an educated guess its still a guess as to weather he could be successful playing a short passing game..
Two, not four. Yes, joint top scorer for club in December 1973When Manure got relegated in the 70s their joint top scorer at Christmas was Alex Stepney who scored 4 from the penalty spot.
Agent doing his job shocker.....more to follow later as we get it!BBC reporting that Chelsea willing to offer Henderson ÂŁ170k per week......
Means nothing until Manure willing to sell himBBC reporting that Chelsea willing to offer Henderson ÂŁ170k per week......
What a tit.
Man Utd being linked with Oblak again tomorrow. This has been my position on the topic on Hendo's future for the past few seasons. Man Utd would rather spend big on a new keeper than promote Henderson.
As it happens I don't think he's yet ready to start and hold down a No1 position at one of the biggest clubs in the world, however Manchester United is now all about the product. They've pretty much topped out their revenues in traditional areas and for the last few seasons it's all about merchandising, social media content, advertising, hits and clicks.
Dropping DeGea and promoting Hendo get's them very little worldwide exposure on these platforms apart from maybe a small blip on the day they announce he's not going out on loan.
Signing Oblak for ÂŁ60-70 odd million would generate a crazy amount of revenue for them, offsetting the transfer fee and keeping them in the public eye as one of the biggest clubs in the world doing the biggest deals which drives sponsors.
Selling Henderson to ourselves for ÂŁ20-30 million, with a buy back clause of whatever is the world record for a keeper at the time, probably makes them more money over the next 3-4 years than keeping him and just promoting him in DeGea's place.
And as Diddy told us, it's all about the Benjamin's.
Crap...he's wearing blue shorts...pigs must have signed him.....Someones enjoying them sens at Skeg

Love Henderson but he seems a bit naive There is no way he can force Solskjaer into making him number one at Manure nor can he force a move this summer. A new contract will make his wages too high for us. If he wants to compete for the England keeper position at the Euros next summer he has to be playing, that makes another loan to us a possibility but do we want to be hanging around until after the season starts - No! I would rather settle for Ramsdale Ok not as good as Henderson but he has played behind a much worse defence than ours and gave goals away by being told by Howe to play it out from the back If Ramsdale wants to play in the Premiership where could he go and be number one apart from us Not Manchester, Liverpool, Burnley, Everton, Chelsea Tottenham, possibly Arsenal. Would be be Number one at Villa when Heston is fit no. West Brom could be a possibility or maybe West Ham or Palace. A season with a struggling Bournemouth and the route to a Premiership number one spot will be even harder

Largely agree, however; If ManU had any sense they would ship De Gea out at the earliest opportunity, and trust their confident, combative young English keeper in the same way that they have trusted Rashford, Greenwood and one or 2 others. But they don't have any sense when it comes to De Gea, and their other big stars. They will keep paying his lavish wages and pray that he sorts his shit out before too long.
The funniest part, is that these mistakes are still happening with no supporters on his back. Once the crowds come back, he will fare even worse. I actually expect their whole team to revert to form, once the disinterested Old Trafford faithful get back in their seats.
Any examples?Rubbish, we dont want to go no were near Ramsdale. Theres better keepers out there imo
Any examples?
You mean the first choice keeper for the team that have just themselves been promoted to the premiership? Why on earth would they sell him? And why would he want to leave?Id say Sam Johnstone for one? Not that id want to sign him either but id feel more confident with him between the sticks
