He wasn’t on skybet last night, I requested odds for him last night, gave me 8/1 this morning, went to slap some on this afternoon and dropped to 6/4, i was abit gutted 😂

we need to recruit technically gifted, creative and pacey/athletic players. I think someone like Eze In an ideal world would be perfect. Can go past a man easily, loves driving forward, not scared to shoot from distance, most importantly loves a through ball for the strikers. Ovie Ejaria looks a decent prospect as well.

No one shoots from a distance as the percentage chance of scoring is minimal. We try to work more clear cut openings from wide areas.

The amount of times I have seen some of our fans say players are lightweight and not good enough is bordering on the ridiculous.

I honestly think their obsession with players being built like a Traore is pathetic

Neither do I and it really grinds my gears he is a young enthusiastic lad, what do they expect him to be like then 🙄

Do they expect him to be a miserable old fart like Roy Keane for example.

Not even that the amount of sitters we missed last season was absolutely criminal Sharps misses against Southampton a prime example.

Agree but they are even worse from distance, that is why we need two quality finishers.

Pro tip: if you're ever doing something like that request several teams at the same time, otherwise they'll think you've had a tip off and so give you crap odds on the only team you suggest. Paddys don't have us listed so you could always go there.

Ollie Watkins is in Dubai at the moment so can't imagine this moves forward until he's back. Probably the same with other players on holiday.

Exactly re loans. At first I was thinking I didn't want us signing a loan player because it means at the end of the season you've just increased another clubs asset. However, in this instance I think Brewster is such a good prospect that it'd be worth it and if we have a limited budget we can spend the money we save on a forward on signing more competition, preferably upgrade, on the wing backs and RCM. I just think the bigger or equal need (to a decent striker) we have is to have more attacking quality and creativity.

it’s not outbidding that is the problem it is being out-waged. No chance of us matching some other clubs in the other 14 - especially when you have the likes of Brighton and West Ham slinging around silly money

For what it's worth, I don't think it's that we can't afford the wages, it's just a massive outlay and it isn't how wilder likes his players to go about.. we reward players rather than throwing them on 60k a week (none of our team are on this obviously) I can see why you'd do it this way, attracts only those who're confident in themselves and aren't all about the wonga associated with being a footballer. Fwiw I think we stand a good chance signing Watkins (if we're even in for him)
 
The wages thing is a total misnomer for me. We all know we can't pay the same as West Ham, Palace etc for a multitude of reasons that have been well covered elsewhere.
However, even in our careers there is more to work than what you earn, and at some stage people mature and see that it's about where you work, who you work for and who you work with that's the real key criteria in your decision making process.
This maybe arrogant and a little naive, but, if players aren't excited by what they're seeing happening at Bramall Lane, the togetherness between all aspects of our club, how we play, our manager, and how we're taking on the league and want to be part of that, despite the lower wages, then you have to doubt if they're right for us.

lots of player do, we don’t take the chances and try play it to the wings instead and most times will put it poor crosses. I get that we play like that but i think we need more goals next season and need to adapt, having someone who can crack a thunderbolt from distance and is just as much of a threat at 40yds as someone from 10 will mean we wont have to always try and overwork an opportunity. gives us options and makes us less predictable.
 

We need somebody who can hit the target with power from 25 yards, if the keeper catches it well done, if it flies in the back of the net great but the most likely outcome is the keeper stops it and it comes back out into the danger area just as if the ball had been crossed and it needs exploiting.

Aye, I can't see see us going over £20m for a Championship forward, not again so soon and certainly not in the current climate.
