Not a medic but I’ve had the injury. Played again 10 days later and it’s been fucked since. A certain former united striker being the physio I can blame for that.

I am not a medic but played a lot of doctors and nurses back in my youth. The verdict is a possibility of a maybe of being out for a period of time.

He'll be done for the year if it's dislocated, will be a good 6-8 weeks before he can take competetive contact safely.

It depends how badly it is dislocated.

I've played rugby with guys who have dislocated their shoulders, popped them back in & continued playing. The next day they've a lot of bruising & soreness.

Thankfully I've never done mine, just the collar-bone - which was my fear for Lundstram when I saw him walking off. That definitely would have ended his season.

Says a lot about our players compared to theirs that Lunny got up and carried on for a bit and then rubbed his shoulder, considered it and then went off.

If that was an Arsenal player with a dislocated shoulder the match would have been abandoned so an air ambulance could land on the pitch to take him away.

Get well soon Lunny, hopefully it's not too bad but I reckon he'll be out for at least a fortnight.

As mentioned above all depends on the severity of the dislocation, Lunny didn’t look in a lot of distress which is a good sign. A severe dislocation can can chip the ball and socket joint, also cause tendon or ligament damage that will further complicate the injury. Fingers crossed this is not severe which could see him back inside 3 weeks.
