He's certainly a player that I'd love us to sign, as he ticks a lot of boxes. Leverkusen paid the best part of £16m for him in August '17. He had a good 17/18 season, but has struggled with injuries since, being out for 1 1/2 years out of 2 years. Hopefully this & the current Covid situation has pushed his value down to £6m to £8m with add ons.
 
Hope this goes well for the fella, he's a good age, looks in great shape, comes across superbly, and appears eager to take his chance when it comes.

Let's hope that we've signed a player worth at least what we're lead to believe was around £17million. Together with Berge we're looking forward, a good age range, and hopefully the type of technical gifted players who'll improve our game.

did exactly the same thing and yes, he’s a baller. he eventually faded from first team contention as i was in champions league but i sold him on to internazionale for £40m.

Is the mobile game any good? I tried them previously and thought they were a bit too cut down.

I've not played the PC version since the old Championship Manager days, so I'm probably not the best person to ask! But I thought it's decent enough to pass a bit of time especially at the price, but I've not found it to be difficult.

I had Bayern sniffing around, but managed to keep hold of him and he's been the main stay of my defence. I've not been able to find anyone better for the Bash position.
 
What with the Covid lock down hold up and hopefully an FA cup run, where going to need every player we have on the books at some time over the next couple of months.. lets hope the new guys are all fit and ready to go.
And any word on when the transfer season proper starts or have I missed it ?

He has a £12million buy clause in his contract on FM20. I bought him and sold him 3 years later for £40m to Bayern. On that basis we should sign him

Really hope hes still here, Club tweeted a photo of him training 30 mins after the story came out that 2 loans had gone back. If he's gone then we really are down to bare bones. 20 today with the subs minus the 2 returned loans and 3rd GK leaves us very light and not far off not being able to names a full bench

To be fair, O'Connell, McGoldrick and Clarke are not in the squad. Then weve got players like Slater, Smith and RND who can take a place on the bench.

That’s the thing though we are allowed to make 5 subs and from the 6 names mentioned 4 of them would struggle to get into a Championship team now.
 
One big club wanted five subs immediately backed by other big clubs why? Because they have more to choose from...should never have allowed five subs especially during a season

It’ll be for financial reasons I’d imagine... goal posts have moved since Covid... I see the original asking price as one that now needed to be renegotiated. Maybe Leverkusen weren’t prepared to budge

I think he probably would have been given more gametime if Baldock or Basham in particular had picked up an injury, or we’d had a comfortable lead (or heavily trailed like today) into the final 20 mins in the pre-lockdown games. It’s unfortunate, but that’s how these things can go.
