Part of me thinks that we're big enough to not let something so stupid stop us from having such a shirt.

Heart of hearts knows that it'd probably be our lowest selling away shirt ever.
 

Has the idea ever been considered to supply the fan replica shirt with stripes down the back whilst accepting for the players shirt that it requires a plain back (TV visibility of number etc). I would love a shirt with back stripes and accept this compromise on the players shirt. I'm not sure how the kit manufacturers view this but I suspect it pushes the cost of goods up given there will be two templates, however my guess is that more shirts would be sold as it more attractive this more than compensating the extra COGs leading to higher fan satisfaction and profit.. Any one ?

It's European regulations, not Premier League. Juventus and At. Madrid for example used to add blocks for their numbers in European comps, but have stripes in the League. They seem to have standardised to plain backs now (probably as they are in Europe every year).

They managed it in 1989 with our Umbro home shirts so it shouldn’t be too difficult 3 decades later.

Yeah patterns and outlandish designs seem to be back.

Even Juventus and Inter mess up a simple stripe design. Think Nike have had a shocker with a few for next season.

The Liverpool home is weird also.

Just liked the shirt, swop the gold for lime green for me, just a nice shirt.
 
Away kit looks nice but the home one is an abomination. Hope this is not next year's kit.
 

Ignore nike tick and shirt sponsor they were from when rumoured last season but I'd want something in this style.
