If he has a job lined up he may as well just go and train with them now, if I was anything to do with Charlton from fan to employee to owner I would not want this man paying from his last game to the end of his contract.
And I agree with sheff_blade90 disrespectful to his team mates.
Is it disrespectful, or refreshingly honest? You only have to cast your gaze at the Devlin thread to see the problems of players with an eye on a move putting in a half-arsed performance when the expectation from manager/fans would have been different. The same was true for Brown late 2003 and others I’ve probably forgotten about.
Rather than not say anything, and put in an appalling performance, at least as a result of his views expressed Bowyer can pick a striker that is likely to give 100%. For Taylor, it’s probably his last opportunity of a big move this summer. I’m sure Charlton fans are furious with this, as I’d be in their situation, but he might have made a decision that’ll benefit Charlton in the games to come.
