Are there any official statements about what happens with expiring contracts and new players? Fifa guidelines from a couple of months ago are the only thing I have seen so far, but they are purely voluntary, but it's pretty interesting to see if the FA is gonna set-up any additional rules, and whether they are compatible with the law.

quite literally, a minging attitude. wilder wouldn’t stand for this shite. what an arse, hope his nonsense spreads throughout the villa dressing room.
Of course it’s financially motivated. If clubs don’t earn some money soon, they’ll go bust and players won’t get paid. The same applies for any industry where you can’t work from home. It’s easy to say ‘it’s all about money’ like that’s a really bad thing when you’ve got loads of it. Try being proper skint for a while, literally have no money whatsoever until your next giro, then tell me money isn’t important.

Mings is a fucking thug who should have been banned after his challenge v Reading:

Financially driven. Of course it is you tool. Just like every other job.

Commodities? You're happy to be when it suits.

Another player who is only thinking about himself and team mates and not go ing a shit about the majority employed within football who don't play.

A few players have really lived up to the reputation they're often given recently.

Defender Mings, 27, also claimed players are "commodities in the game".

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Mings added: "The motives are possibly 100% financially driven rather than integrity driven.

Agents did that to the game long before Coronavirus.

Footballers moaning about going back to one of the safest environments in the country, fuck off.

How about people that live 2 bus rides away from a minimum wage job who've been told that they have to go back to work (but it's their civic duty not to go on the bus), imagine how they're feeling Tyrone you bellend. They've got hardly any savings and can't walk away like footballers can, Mings could live the rest of his life on a month's wages.

Tested twice weekly along with everyone they're coming into contact with and they're moaning.

Spoilt twat and a thug.

Haha haha! They really are either sheltered, thick or both.
We all have a financial value to our employers and that’s how we earn a living to get by...he should be bleeding grateful that he’s considered a valuable commodity whilst the rest of us scrape by. We’re all being ordered to return to work to keep the economy afloat, not because it’s safe...it’s just that now there’s the capacity in the ICUs to handle the volume. He’ll be safer than us lot commuting on our trains, trams and buses.

Fans: It’s a shame the beautiful game has become so financially driven – transfer fees have become way too high, players are paid ridiculous amounts, and even the ticket prices can be crazy at many clubs. Not to mention the £10 delivery charge we get for buying a £55 shirt!

Also fans: How very dare Tyrone Mings for pointing out the game is financially driven.

Me; professional football has always been financially driven. The clue is in the word ‘professional’.

Dear Minger

If football were not financially driven you, like the rest of the world, would feel fucking lucky to be paid 10% of what you are currently - and you’re just playing a game that the rest of us play for fun.

If you don’t like it go and work as a nurse!

He is not pointing out anything everyone hasn't known for a very long time. What he is doing is trying his best to get the season made null and void - that is all. Do you not think any of our players think football is financially driven or is Saint Tyrone the only one capable of knowing this?

Exactly if villa were mid table he wouldnt be saying anything at all

Yep exactly that. He’s probably got a wage reduction clause in his contract in the event of relegation so beefing about money is an absolute pisstake.

Bit disingenuous mate that imho.

A few footballers recently really are showing how disconnected they are from reality.

I'm no fan of Deeney but at least he was honest and said I'm worried about my kid after the problems after birth, plus the heightened risk of being black.

Others are just acting spoiled and behaving like they shouldn't be treated like any other employee in the country.

The negativity that pervades from every one connected to these clubs strike me as very damaging
If all six could go down I think they would ,can't see any of them going on a run not with the negativity that has been implanted in the players minds from their own bosses

Ming's has the cheek to talk about money after the players did nothing to help the clubs when this lockdown.started
If they had just deferred their wages or paid the running costs while no fans are coming in they would be entitled to any opinion they like

Karen Bradys agenda is no relegation. She mentions it in the article. Its what has driven all the whinging coming from her and the likes of Brighton and Watford. The FA have already said no relegation is not acceptable and null and void is off the table but that won't stop them trying every trick in the book to find a way to avoid the inevitable.

The only ones displaying a lack of integrity are those in the Karen Brady camp.

All someone needs to do is call her out at the meeting this week and ask her if West Ham were 1st or in a Europe spot would she still think the same, null and void it. Whatever she said would be a no win answer and watch her go quiet.

says Mings on God Knows £75000+ per month or whatever. H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T

admittedly with extra hours at work & havent watched sky sports news since we were supposed to play Newcastle. im a bit out of loop

has a time & location been confirmed for villa game yet as all we know is 17th june. or any of the other remaining fixtures. the premier league site just says TBC for every game when i looked last night

Warburton needs to go back to school 21 days notice is actually three weeks not 2 and 1/2 weeks. 21 days notice is exactly the same number of days the EPL gave last week for the likes of the Blades, Villa, Man City and Arsenal.

I think this say more about Warburton than the players. If his players are out of shape it's on him and if I was the chaiman i'd be wanting an explanation.
