Re the Upper Corner. For some reason we gave Preston the top tier in an entirely excitement-free cup game a few years ago. STH's were not able to buy their seats due to segregation issues up there, so if Arsenal request their FA rules allocation I think we'll all have to be offered seats elsewhere. They'll rigorously enforce the Family Stand rules (loooooooolllll) so guessing it'll be an extremity of the SS or the Kop for us.

I'm pretty sure a lad I know got moved up there. He was in the SS in some really good seats now used for the media so he said he'd move if they moved him from 40k points to 50k points and he got £100 for his troubles as well.

For a bit of context, the Charlton game was a huge bonus in a sea of 3rd Division mediocrity, against a team in a higher division with a chance of a Wembley semi final to take our minds of a league campaign that had us camped in the relegation zone earlier in the season.
Fast forward to today and this is just another game, against a team below us in the league amongst a season of almost unimaginable joy.

The whole bramall lane end including the corner is just under 8,000. Considering we will likely sell out ourselves, I can us splitting the upper tier. We only need to give them around 4,700. 3 in lower tier, 2 in upper.

Can't do that unfortunately as the concourse can't be segregated so it's all or nothing. We should do what Reading did though and make Arsenal pay up front for anything over 3k capacity of the lower tier - no sale or return.

It’s an FA Cup Quarter Final against a big club. One game from Wembley. It’ll be on a weekend. We don’t seem to have had many games this year and tickets should be cheaper than a normal league game too. Factor in the incentive of extra loyalty points. Embarrassing if we don’t sell-out.

In the PL last time we managed to have the corner open and give away fans the upper tier with no issues, just need to block off a bit between the gangways and use the proper upper tier exits out the back instead of having them closed like they do for home fans.

FA Rules allow UP to 15% for away supporters.

We are not obliged to give them anything more than the lower tier.

And IMO why should we.

We don't really have a say in away allocations 15% would be around 4800-5000 but it is the SAG who has the ultimate say on numbers due to health and safety issues. No real issue with the lower tier it just depends on how they view splitting the upper tier as opposed to having 3000 empty seats.

When they renovated back in 2006 they put in place segregated areas in the upper tier. Liverpool first game of the season.

It is about time the SAG started to trust Sheff Utd more with games like this.

For the ones who watched the Spurs v Norwich game last night, Spurs had to/decided to give Norwich 9K tickets. They gave 3 of the 5 tiers to Norwich - that was tier 1 (the usual away allocation of 3K), tier 3 and tier 5. Tiers 2&4 are the smaller Spurs corporate sections. To be fair Spurs would have designed this into the stadium. They split the tiers 3 & 5 with only stewards sat between each sets of fans.

There is zero reason why SAG shouldn't let the Westfield season ticket holders stay where they are and let Arsenal have the usual 2.8K fans on BLLT and then approx 2.5K in the upper tier and either a few sections of netting or even stewards or both.

It isn't fucking rocket science.

We've come a long way since some stupid fan in South Stand fired a rocket at the pigs in BLUT - but sooner or later SAG have to trust the fans. There was bucket loads of banter against Millwall and Reading in our last two cup games but zero trouble from recollection. The separation between us and Reading were netted off seats.

This game is the ideal opportunity for SAG to allow two sets of fans in BLUT with sensible separation - just get your flip charts out boys and WORK OUT A FUCKING PLAN !!!!! As above it's not rocket science - other clubs do it all over the country - you could even ask them, but that would admit to be twats I suppose, like you lot have been in the past.
