Ok. Bored now.
The Chris Wilder Stand
The Sharp End
I am of the opinion that statues and having things named after you should only happen after you're dead. I thought that was a fairly widely accepted rule.
John Street, Shoreham, Lane, New Stand.
No. I’m not. I’ve heard loads of Blades call it the new stand, from 1982 onwards. I imagine they called it that before then too but I didn’t go to the matches before then. Very few people sat in it apart from ‘big’ games like Rotherham or Donny during Christmas. From my viewpoint at the back of the kop, it looked like a few flat cappers with flasks.Always been known as the 'South Stand' AFAIA, in fact even back in 75/76, I can't recall it ever been the 'New Stand'.
Are you sure you aren't thinking of S6?
I know it all seems the same oop North and can be quite confusing to the Metropolitan Elite.

I’m not sure I’ve started coming down yet. Not since around 1987.I guess it depends when you started coming down - I still call it the Laver Stand, even when on the phone to (a sometimes confused) ticket office

I’ve heard it called that too, but I don’t like it as it implies there was an old one. I just call it God’s Click and Collect these days.Always call it 'new South stand '
I called it the New Stand until the early 1980s and so did my dad.Always been known as the 'South Stand' AFAIA, in fact even back in 75/76, I can't recall it ever been the 'New Stand'.

I've always called it the South Stand, though I'm not as old as some of you buggers. I was going regularly from the early eighties though.I should of course, bow to your superior knowledge, but being a stubborn Yarkshur bastard, I'll keep digging.
Do any of you other assorted wankers, tosspots and shitstirrers want to agree with Silent Blade and BushBlade , or are there some wise, clever, handsome Blades who agree with me that it was always the 'South Stand'?
No pressure......
Cool, the first picture for the current president and the second one giving directions to the previous one
