What if previous chairmen had named the kop the Naseem Hamed kop, or the South Stand the Sebastian Coe Stand? The name would appear daft today.

OK if she was involved in youth programmes or some other way connected to the club in an official capacity I would be more relaxed about it, but she isn't. She doesn't even attend games.

Either we'll be in the Premier League and get offered a zillion quid for the naming rights, or we'll be in the 4th division and desparate for cash. But it's not going to be the Jess Ennis stand forever.
