Mate of mine’s kid is one of the flag wavers on Sunday and he’s told me that they have been given early notice that the game could be in doubt as dangerous weather is predicted.
Doesn’t seem to be any snow or owt in the long term forecast I can see.
Hope this is just scaremongering. I am on the 8.20am flight out of Belfast international and then have to drive up from Liverpool. Don't need the weather causing any flight delays or game postponements. Haven't been over since the home game against Man utd and am really looking forward to it.

That game actually went ahead didn't it? 0-0 and Warnock had a go at Akinbiyi at the end for not diving
Fucking snowflakes.
Hadn't considered that. ThanksYou might want to be prepared for the long way round - M62/M1 - as high winds usually shut Snake and Woodhead, but assume you'd still have plenty of time?
Says 52MPH actually now, but I get your drift![]()

Reading. Last season. Minus 10c. If you're asking about one-offs.
Hadn't considered that. Thanks
It’s forecast that most of the day it will be sustained 25 mph winds with gusts up to 50 mph.

Are you saying this is all hot air?I’ve got several apps, which show hour by hour forecasts for the next 7 days.
I’ve checked Belfast, Liverpool and Sheffield and the weather is similar at all 3 places.
It’s not scaremongering, wish it was
The bad news is heavy rain (virtually all day) and very windy....constant 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
The only good news for those at the match is that the wind is coming from the south...so the temperature actually warm up through out the weekend
and will be a barmy 12 degrees at the match...even allowing for windchill the app says it will still feel like 12 degrees.
Its even going to be a surprisingly warm 10 degrees Sunday early morning and Sunday evening too....so at least it won’t feel cold.
I find the apps to be accurate most of the time...the forecasts can be out by several hours the longer in future it is ...and occasionally it’s totally wrong.
I was in upstate New York one year and going to go to watch a Buffalo Bills game (stadium in your pic) but the game was called off because 4ft of snow fell in two days!!!View attachment 70753
Nothing like a photo of Headingley at this time of year, to spur us on through Feb.
Forecast not too bad now, it`ll be fine
Moving a televised Premier League game forward 24 hours, with under 5 days notice, no chance.Saturday seems relatively calm, wouldn’t it be common sense to bring the game forward 24hrs?
