You obviously have to appreciate the big step-up from Champ to Prem, especially with Robinson being asked to play in a different position but considering how much game time he's been given this season (far more than Sharp and Freeman for example!), you'd have to conclude that he's been disappointing so far.

It will be interesting to see how/where WBA will play him but if the Fleet Street Oracle is correct and they indeed expect him to be a pacy striker, they may also be in for a disappointment even if you'd think he'd be more suited to the Champ than the Prem. If he does go, I can't see CW going forward with just the four strikers unless Leon is still in the reckoning.

So that's Luke, Callum, Billy, Fleck and JOC all on their bike this week

Despite CW saying no ones going anywhere this window...........................................fkin selling club ;)

Just to add to that, if there's one of that lot above I could see actually leaving this window, it's Callum Robinson

The question is , what happened to the pace ? He certainly seemed to be quicker at Preston .

Maybe an old injury hampers his sprinting . Still early days with him though , a work in progress maybe

Snapped his ligament at Preston i believe?

I can't see how he can be fast tbh. His legs and arms are all over the place, very inefficient for speed.

Wouldn’t want us to sell him as I believe he could be important in seasons to come. I think he’s talented and there has been slight glimpses of it. I just see he has a slight lack of concentration at times.

You've just got the best job you're ever going to get and you blow it because you can't concentrate for an hour a week? It's a tiny bit excusable if the match on the next pitch catches your eye in Graves Park on a Sunday morning.

I think it's something else.

If we get back 7mil sell him.
If they're offering about half just loan him, let him score goals (he will, he's proved he can and will at that level) then reassess in the summer when we'll be able to give him another crack of the whip or sell him for more or less what we paid.

If he goes we keep Clarke as fifth choice. Billy has proven he's up to the task in recent weeks. No biggie.

I would imagine that if this happens it'll be a loan move to get some regular football and see how he does, but I'm not so sure that we'd let him go, just on case we get injuries.

I wasn't convinced he was anything special when he signed if honest and we don't play with wingers and it seems his best football has been out on the wing. Because the Moose has done so well, Ollie is getting better with every game and looks a real threat and there's still Billy and McGoldrick playing well, his pitch time is less than he hoped for. He of course has youth on his side.

A loan according to TransferChanger on twitter. Would be happy with that. They'll use him as a striker.

True story......many years ago I was playing on Redmires playing fields and the referee blew his whistle, we all stopped and asked him wtf was that for.......he replied, sorry I just saw a foul on the next pitch and blew up in error🤭

I'm somewhat surprised by that tbh. I really thought he was gonna be good and he turned out absolutely crap in my opinion, slow, nesh, cba. If we could recoup a substantial portion of what was paid I'd be more than satisfied to see him go

For a bit part player he's been instrumental in earning us a few points chelsea being one. Then a brilliant touch to set up mcburnie v Man utd also provided the cross that got us a point at Arsenal. He definitely has a bit of something and I'd keep him for a bit longer

Really?

Nothing against the lad as he comes across well and is obviously popular in the dressing room but I have seen absolutely nothing to suggest he may ever make a top-flight player.

Our transfer policy was always going to be a gamble, "young, hungry players who could possibly make the step up" was the main mantra, (Besic and Jags apart)......well the fact that 8/9 of our regular starting line up, (sometimes more) were the players that got us promoted tells you that more of those gambles have failed than succeeded....

If this released extra funds for which we could put towards bringing in Sander Berge - I would back it.

You could argue that our players from last season have performed way, way better than anyone expected so the pre season buys have never been given a proper chance. Seen a few write Osborn off for instance but he's not started a league game thanks to how well Stevens and Fleck have done.

That said Robinson has had more starts than any of our pre season signings and so far it's not happened for him. He looks far better coming off the bench then starting.

The only future seasons he might be important would be if we where in the Championship.....which as we are not this season and at least not next ...I would let him go in the summer if we got half our money back ...
