Yeah, there's no real reason why he wasn't on the bench on Saturday with Didz being out. Kieran Freeman being there may have meant Baldock had a knock I suppose
 

I'd be a bit gutted if Freeman (L) went, don't think we've seen anything approaching his best at all but the change in formation has somewhat halted his time here. Though from what was said it appeared Wilder always fancied playing with a 3 in the middle rather than a '10' so I'm surprised he brought him in all things considered.
 
I'll get it if we do sell Luke Freeman, but I'd be disappointed. He's done very little wrong & I really rate him as a player. I'd still like to see him given a go at the McGoldrick roaming role behind the striker. I think he'd bring something different to the position & I'd be intrigued to see what that is.

Must be hard for him though. He's a southern lad & gone from the biggest fish in the pond at QPR to not even making the bench here.
 
Freeman out and Besic in permanent?

Freeman wanting more game time rather than the kudos of playing in the premier league?

would fit in well at Leeds. Maybe a loan to permanent deal in the summer for a reasonable profit would free up budget to offer the same to Everton?

If we can get a profit out of Wigan for Evans we can get one out of Leeds for Freeman!
They’re desperate for some additions to get them up, if they don’t add this month they will miss out again! Freeman adds quality, he’s now fitter than ever and will suit their system and grab goals.
He could be worth a lot of money to Leeds!

Think there could be, simply because this is the time of year when desperate clubs pay over the odds. If he’s going I’d be surprised if we haven’t done an Evans/Leonard esque approach of making sure it’s for a decent price. He’s demonstrated in the starts he’s had that he can fit in at this level, he’s on a decent length contract, we ideally wouldn’t be selling, all ingredients for getting some
profit on the deal. If he’s sold that is.

I dont think any championship club pays 7mill or more for Freeman in January. We'll make a loss on him.
 

Me neither mate. Seen a few clips on the highlights show last couple of seasons but that's all. Always looked good, and Chris has wanted him for a while.
 
Looking now like there might be more than one signing early next.

Chris quote tonight in YP:

Am I the only one who thinks we should be prioritising another attacking player? Maybe another RWB too?

Surely we have enough cover in defence and midfield now?

I'm sure CW would add another attacker if a suitable one was available but in JTW they are few and far between and fees are exaggerated - this has been played out buy just how little activity there's been this year with clubs in far greater need than Utd struggling to get signings over the line.

For example, could you imagine how much Brentford would quote for Watkins at the moment with him bang in form and them handing a good chance of at least making the play offs.

No you are not, completely agree we need more up top.

Comments on MOTD last night seemed to suggest Leeds might still be sniffing around Billy and with Moose still not fit, Didzy injured, Robbo playing at L1 standard that puts a lot on McB's shoulders!
 

We would be mad to let Billy go this window. We should aim to keep him at least until the summer 2021, provided of course that he wants to stay.

I also think we should be using him more in the PL. Use him more, he wants to stay, so no problem.
