I really don't understand why some people are surprised and get so wound up by the MSM's coverage.

If it upsets you thay much just don't watch it. Some of the written press' coverage is far more informed that the mainstream tv providers whose coverage is stuck in awkward place between continuing to provide meal tickets for old dinosaurs (Lineker being a prime example) and ensuring D&I quotas are hit with the result being a substandard product.

In the interview, Wilder seemed to agree with the interviewer who said we’d bossed only the first and last 10 minutes of the game. He also was pretty downbeat about our performance.
I didn’t see it like that. I thought we were actually on top for just about all the first half, played some really nice football and certainly created the only chances. Until they created one and scored.
Second half, okay, Arsenal were pushing us back but we still created chances and equalised. And nice that VAR, for the second game on the trot, has started to undo some of its nastiness towards us this season.
Overall the game was even and a draw was right. Tufty was too harsh on the performance.

Looking at MOTD highlights it favours us. Not seen that much Blades action for a long time. First 20 minutes or so PL commentators on NBC saying looks like we are the home side and Arsenal are playing away although the Fan noise had something to do with it Away fans been as much a plus this season as the "overlapping centre forwards"!

Arteta complaining our goal got a deflection. Probably right but for their goal there was a deflection off our defender (Bash?) which caused it to loop up and over our defenders. it Seemed to wrong foot not just our defence but also Henderson who I thought could have got to it.
I thought we were lucky with the Pepe pen appeal. There was contact but I think he also dived as well.

Like I said, I normally don't have a problem with MotD but last night I was actually looking forward to seeing some sort of analysis of Fleck's technique for the goal; and by the way, the only deflection it took was off the turf as Flecky did exactly the right thing by hitting it down, something I thought the three strikers on duty last night would have admired greatly.

I'm convinced the outside broadcast crew must have been packing their gear away at the end because I haven't seen that final McBurnie chance on any highlight package yet.

As for Wendy fans suggesting we must love VAR now, they wouldn't have known that after the No Penalty decision flashed up we still managed a round of "Fuck VAR" to serenade Stockley Park with.

Murray is excellent and will get a bigger football gig one day.

That said, Linekar is excellent IMHO. No problem with Shearer either.

Jenas is dogshit mind. Needs to improve massively.
