Shaun Timmins from Brum and James Ellison from Liverpool will be involved in tonights reserve match.
Gary Naysmith and Derek Geary have both been pencilled in for another outing, when United's second string travels to the Pirelli Stadium to face Burton Albion on Wednesday evening, kick-off 7pm.

Naysmith completed 75 minutes against Port Vale last week on his return to action following a knee complaint, whilst Geary will be looking to build on his recent outing at Walsall after missing the fixture against the Valiants though illness.

The Blades will also field two trialists in the totesport.com league fixture with Paul Peschisolido's Brewers; young defender Shaun Timmins from Birmingham City will start, along with rookie striker James Ellison from Liverpool.

Mark Smith will be hoping his charges respond positively to the recent defeat against Vale as they look to avenge the 3-0 reversal against Albion in the corresponding fixture at Sheffield FC last October.

do we know anything else of them foxy? have they had loan spells anywhere? can they lump it at least the length of the pitch? have they got any potential we can suck out of them?

Timmins got his first pro contract at Brum last year after being with their setup since 16, has previously played for Ireland youth.

He's a left back and spent some time at Coventry before being released. He was also supposed to be at Leamington until 15th April.

Ellison signed his first pro contract last year too, having been with the Liverpool academy since 8.

He should fit in well as he's had some bad injuries in the past, including fractures to part of his spine. He's played in England youth matches (capped at u16 level) and is classed as a "prolific marksman" by some :)

I think I've seen him myself, but will have to go back through some of our old youth match reports to work out if i'm thinking of the right lad :D

nice one, cheers mate. lets hope we actually have a successful trialist for once!

one's a striker so if he can track back and defend away from home he'll get a contract

They both played, Ellison opened the scoring after 4 minutes. It finished 1-1. Geary, Naysmith, Fortune and Lowton all started.

Sign Ellison up, i think hes reight good cos he played for england under 16s and he scored tonight, sort his spine out and we are onto a winner.

Hope they were better than I was tonight :), last time I'm having tea before footy! :D
