I've just called up and renewed and asked how many we'd sold and the reply was around 4000 up to now.

I wonder if we'll be back to public talk of "break even" figures now. It's a depressing concept.

I'd be a bit dissapointed (but not entirely surprised to be honest) if thats true! (not that i'm questioning it at all LS26)...

I admit i've not got round to renewing yet, mainly due to waiting till payday, but i'm also not as determined to drag myself down there anytime soon to hand over £300 to SUFC - especially with a new job, wedding and honeymoon all on the (frighteningly close) horizon!

I'm certain a hell of a lot of Blades are in a similar stage of apathy towards the Blades, and have seen and heard first hand from other fans of such, but i'd still hope we i) were a little closer to our impressive recent totals by now given that deadline day is just over a week away - surely it will be extended? and ii) 'beat' those lot from S6 who are still struggling to get to 8k ST's despite them selling them for next season since almost the start of christmas!!??

Still i'm sure a bit of news either way sometime between now and August could/would easilly re-discover a few of the now less eager Blades out there!

UTB!

Conversation went like this,

"Can I renew my season card - customer number ******"

"Yes certainly £299 quid"

"Card num **************"

"Right thats all done I'll send you a receipt"

"Can you tell me how many people have renewed"

"Around 4000 so far we're hoping for a flurry of sales prior to the deadline which is the 17th"

"Cheers"

;-)

You can count me as part of the flurry. So make that 4001.

I was going to claim my free easter egg last Friday but was too busy being apathetic. :)

I've just spent my ST money on a new exhaust system and front anti-rolls to get The Beast through its MOT. I might email KMC and thank him for paying for it.

Now then, where's my road map for Meadowhall....? :p

Bit short sighted to make the deadline the day before the derby game.

Win that and put the pigs 2 points from safety and I'm sure they would have been a rush to re-new.

Also looking at it with a slightly different angle losing the derby could effectly dry up sales so ending it the day before may be sensible.

Glad I'm not in charge.

I'm too busy this week. Hope they'll extend it.

Too busy?? It's a very quick phone call. There's hardly a rush. Very surprised Bramley - I had you down as a true McCabe/Blackwell loyalist.

Chuffed about the 4k figure. Hopefully Birch will act and get rid of Blackwell eh?

Does anyone know if there are any details yet for new seasons tickets? Didn't get one last season wondered when I could pick one up.

We dont look to be doing much to promote them particulary on Radio Sheffield and the pigs have them plastered all over the supertram system [probably F O C ] come on cleva Treva do summat .

I'm yet to renew, but i think i'll be renewing next friday when its the deadline and i get paid.

I can't quite justify shelling out £300 i can barely afford, and i will be doing it in the vain hope that next season can bring us all a little bit of happiness

Well supertram do seem to bum wednesday with their tunnel being a "supertram" whoever makes the posters needs sacking though, cause there's one of a pig who looks like he would rather have pins through his eyes than me at the match, i have felt like sarcastically graffiting on it saying "look how much fun you could be having a hillsborough too!"

Well man up and do it then!

Nothing has ever stopped me defacing Wednesday propaganda as is my want.

I know full well that I can't really afford it, but couldn't really for years before.

But not next year. Despite I know i should do and that it will all be rosy, I just can't bear to turn up again. I can't believe that I've said that, but that's what I think. I really don't think I can justify spending over half a grand to be bored and annoyed.

I'll probably end up going down and renewing my and my kids' tickets, but I know I don't want to.

Probably.

Possibly.

Maybe.

We knew it would be bad but that is astonishingly bad. Barely one in five renewed.
And still not a murmur from Kev or Trev.
You could be forgiven for thinking they don't give a flying.

I don't think it will be extended but I would imagine the price after the deadline will only be about £20 more. This will leave plenty for ditherers to make up their minds once they know more about the management and playing staff for next season.

Or that the decision has already been made and they will replace the manager in the summer once the deadline for cheaper tickets has gone.

That's a thought. Up to now I couldn't understand why they were keeping KB on at the cost of ST sales. But when you look at it like that it kind of makes sense.

Despite that I still think KB will be our manager come August.

Well on this point, lets hope I am the one who is right. :)

I don't particularly like or rate Blackwell. Ambivalent about McCabe and not happy about the vacuum of communication from the club. I'll renew at some point.

the club and the fans are at an all time low imo, and this has been reflected in the season ticket sales. The atmosphere on match days is dead and personally i feel more of a spectator than a supporter at the minute. Money is non existent at the minute and i just cant see myself handing over 300 quid. hopefully my feeling will change come august, but the masses are not going to renew when they are told of the cost cutting going on with the playing squad. i think we will be averaging 19,000 next season

I can't believe we haven't taken advantage of the cash back opportunity...

pay £300 and get £1 cash back

That'll reel em in

Better get the fookers sold before the election just in case the loony Labour lot get back in....

Good man lenners, right on cue!

An optimist would be thrilled we've only sold 4k (and saved the cost of an advert in The Star). This way, they have to do something.
