Actually I don't, although it's looking ominous. There fixtures are a nightmare, although they do have Palace last match of season. We could virtually end it for them.
The reason I don't wan't to send them down, is a love the buzz of derby day, and although I don't go any more it's a day I look forward too especially as we are sometime's on the telly. Also Sheffield has a great footballing tradition and should have 2 successful teams, as long of course as we are top dogs. :)
Some Blades hate Wednesday, but hate is an emotive word. My dad and grandad were Wednesday fans ad proud of it.
Interestingly, one wonders what could happen to their/our fan base longer term if they go on a downward spiral. Would theirs get smaller as ours got bigger?

I was just thinking this,do we want them to go down because not one game in the championship gives a huge buzz, only when we play pigs at the Lane.

But on the other hand it is funny there going down haha

After the blackness of this season,we could all do with a bit of humour.

And here's the chance...

They can go out of business for me. If this was a one club city give it a couple of generations & we would be right up there with an enormous fan base.

Of course I want wensdy to go down. Hate their smug fans. Yes it's a big game in the season for us, but it's their biased fans I hate so much.
If the Blades play shite I will say so, I won't say we played the opposition off the park after losing 3-0 etc.
Just hope we have something to do with their downfall come the 18th of april!

A big massive yes from me. The only team who they can catch IMO is scunthorpe.

I would love those t**ts to go down, but fear that they will stay up off the back of beating us at the Sty.

It's a double edged sword. If they go down we don't have the chance to spank them twice next season. But it would be really sweet if it was us tonking them this season that sent them down.

I would happily give my left testicle if it meant that we would spank them 4-0 to relegate them.

If they go down we might get weeds as a derby next season.
It does look very grim for them couldn't beat a team at home that had nothing to play for any loss or injuries will be disasterous for them. They are now in the relegation spots with teams above having a game in hand relying on others teams to save them now lots of pressure not a nice spot to be in.

I'd love to see them go down. There is just something about them that makes me want to retch, i hate the blue and white striped shirts, the kop band, Strafford, Hillsborough, the job lot.

There is not many things that can turn my stomach like the thought of Sheffield Wednesday

It's beyond me how any Blade could not want the Pigs to go down - although this poll backs up my feeling that the vast majority do. I absolutely detest them! Them losing and suffering always makes me feel better.

I was 5 years old in 1979 and thankfully too young to notice Boxing Day. However, during the following 12-13 years it was rammed down my throat by arrogant pigs who would constantly poor scorn on United in their 'pink' stadium playing lower division football. The great experience of leap-frogging them was relatively short-lived as they won the bloody league cup the following year.

The best night of my life as a Unitedite was the 3-1 demolition at Hilsborough the following year - it was a defining moment for me watching 11 motivated players basically frighten a team to death whilst 8,000 or so Unitedites gave it their all in the stands. Even after that there was another 5 or 6 years of having pigs lord it over us.

Watching us turn it around and stake a rightful claim to the top club in the city over the last 10 years has been a real pleasure. The pain of relegation was nothing to the realisation that we'd let slip a genuine chance to ground them under our heel. Unfortunately we seem to be trending towards a similar level of mediocrity - but they are out-crapping us at the moment.

The only possible argument I can find for not wanting them relegated is that they use it as the opportunity to go into administration and clear their debts - that's all we have to fear right now.

A gap between derby matches always stokes up the feeling when they come back anyway - 5-10 years should be enough.

Wednesday going down would go a long way towards making up for us not going up!

For the last 30 years thet have lauded it over us, and my god, seeing them relegated and inevitable meltdown would finally be payback.

Its been a lot longer than 30 years, Dunc. Some of my best mates (but NOT bandmates) are pigs & all that bollocks, but regardless, there is nothing too awful that I would not be happy to see happen to that shitty, shitty club.

Certainly, but I don't think it's possible for us to actually send them down. However we could make it very difficult for them.

Palace effectively have an extra point due to their goal difference and i think people forget that they are a team who are minus the points deduction, a mid-table team in the ilk of us, Boro, Reading etc.

Watford have a game in hand but do worry me, I can't think of too many of their players but fair play to them for their result today.

I thought Scunny were as good as safe after they beat us but they had a shocker against Blackpool and had another poor result today.

Can't ignore Derby, QPR and Preston either but I think they'll have enough.

Unfortunately I think Wednesday just have a bit too much in the tank and regardless of the result against us will stay up, but I can see them having to do it on the last day.

I may have to make an additional trip to Leppings Lane after our game!

I want them down and out of business.
I know some disagree but the simple equation for me is the weaker Wednesday are the stronger United will be.
Sheffield United as the only team in the city (presuming the others have buggered off) can only be good for us.

Quite apart from any emotional reasons, there are solid commercial reasons why it would benefit the Blades for the Owls to go down.

If pigs needed 3 points to stay up we would be the ones to give it to them. We will not bother to turn up at their shithole in a few weeks so thats why i'm not going to bother to turn up to watch us hand them 3 points on a plate.
So don't stress yourselves any longer about them going down cause if there is one team who can f@ck things right up its us.
F@cking useless set of bastards we are.
Go on blades and lose it you set of shits.Fucking drive me mad this team at times.

Yes from me. They will still insist that they are a better and bigger club. Only 19,000 at the sty for a big relegation game. They could well be down to 14,000 with a poor start in division 1.
Given Blackwells results in pressure games though, i also fear it will be us that keeps them up. I'm getting sleepless nights over here already for the game, let alone if i had a ticket.
Come on Blades, give us something to remember this season for years to come.
