Well, compared to last Sunday, anything would be.

No, I thought it was a good game and United definitely tried to close down at every opportunity. What a different defence without Seip & Bartlett.

MOM ? Nozzer, although Quinny was good. Nobody was terrible.

Surprised that Barnsley weren't as dirty as usual. Ref. served them well.

Not too bad.

Not to bad you having a laugh? 0-0 against a very poor side. Just shows how bad we are no goals in last 2 home game just awful. OK is not a word i'd use more like said old SHIT.

Nothing wrong with the performance Dave - you're letting your mood cloud your judgement. We should easily have won the game, but for poor finishing. The result was poor, nothing else.

Predictable, dull.....yawn. That's your post, by the way.

Many argue they want to see better football and that the result doesn't matter. The reality is that many are, I suspect, just unable to see past the result.

Henderson ?

beighton ,try and be a proper blade for 5 minutes see if you enjoy it

I hate to sound like I'm sitting on the fence (and I am disappointed with today's performance) but it wasn't as bad a usual... and that goes to show how poor we have been all season.

I'm not willing to show the sympathy or apathy that some fans at BDTBL have done recently. We are a team of under-performers, and that is not to say we should be challenging for the title. The majority of players are not performing anywhere near their full potential and haven't for some time. Henderson is a prime example of this. I appreciate he is not everybody's cup of tea, but he has always worked hard up until recently. This has nothing to do with loans, injuries or whatever other excuse/spin KB can conjure up. I cannot honestly think of one player other than Monty that has improved under KB.

KB is not the man for the job and the sooner he moves on the better in my opinion. Today wasn't as bad as it has been... but it was still crap.

Henderson ?

Henderson was shite fella, I suspect he's not fit, but who knows. - but if I'm saying we played well and yet drew 0-0, it sort of goes without saying that the finishing and / or final delivery was poor.

Anyone who thinks we can play significantly better than that with our current set of players is, I think, hugely mistaken.

A decent effort lit up by a quality old bloke on the right wing. :)

John & Alco

I agree with your last posts.

What worrys me is we have foo ked up with money to waste  Who selects these foo king awfull players we buy ?

doesnt bother me mate when i started supporting the blades they were in division 4

i couldnt care less how the team does its the fans that bother me

The immediate future is rather bleak. To rob a phrase, our summer recruitment will be cheap as chips.

This season is dead and next will be very tough for us, so I can't see the sense in going every week and complaining. Just support them until better times return.

Why not lobby for a change that would accelerate the coming of the good times?

Blackwell OUT!

You get what you pay for.The summer recruitment should be on players that can stay fit not more of the same to fill the hospital beds although building a hospital wing should bring in more money for McCabe.

Blades v Dingles.jpg Another Blades attack that results in nothing. Thought that we dominated the game on the whole. Can't remember the dingles having our keeper doing much. With better finishing we could have had 3 or 4 goals. Shame about the injuries. Thought hendo had a shocker, Glen little without doubt was MOTM.

Eh? What on earth have you inferred from my post? Please try having another read.

I'm not crying or moaning. I'm saying support the team. I don't think they're very good and may be even worse next season. But we've no divine right to success, and I'm renewing my season ticket and will continue to do so.

I agree with your sentiment totally. That said, if we can build around;

Kenny,
Morgan,
Williamson,
Henderson (I know)
Sharp
Yeates
Ward
Little
Geary
And even on his day, Quinn.

I think we still have the makings of a reasonable team - yet the additions will be crucial. Let's hope there's plenty in the wages kitty, once dross like Evans have removed their pile.

To me, shouting "Blackwell out!" is not accelerating the return of good times. It's purely destructive behaviour which negatively affects the players.

Have you written to McCabe or Birch (I seem to recall you saying you would)? Who have you suggested replace our current management? That's constructive behaviour.

You're not the only one who's tired of long ball football, but I also think Blackwell has done a decent job in other respects.

So what mustn't happen now is change without a fully considered plan for what comes next. We're in a predicament whoever is in charge, and if we make a fresh start we need the right man to be available. I really believe the wrong choice could see things get worse.

I do rate all the players you list, but I see very few forming the heart of a promotion outfit. They're more of a support cast.

If we finish in the top third this season, then I'd define that as "reasonable". But to actually be good - and I'm recalling our last two promotion squads here - I'm convinced we need two or three stars. Deane / Agana / Jags / etc.

We certainly can't afford to buy such players, and we've lost the two most promising youngsters I've seen in a long time. So we either need to get lucky in the transfer market, or develop another set of kids.

Thus tricky times ahead.

Yeates would be one of the first i would ship out.

I think he has been an awful signing and i have yet to see anything worthwhile come from him.

His speciality is running down blind alleys
