And for the record resting players might be an option I think Lunny might for this one but Wilder knows how big of a game personally the Liverpool one will be for himself and many of the scousers on the team.

And anyone getting rested knows how good the players are behind and one of the reasons many are playing out of their skin is because they know they have to or their shirts gone.

Besic would be the obvious change but it's the game he's most likely to be sent off in! Maybe save and bring on after 60 minutes.

I actually think it's better resting again Liverpool and Flyde. We have an extra day of rest than City and they look vulnerable. I think we'll lose to Liverpool regardless. We could let Besic go and kick Henderson up in the air then.

So, unless anyone is in desperate need of a rest, I'd play the same team tomorrow, but maybe start Moussett. I think McGoldrick is likely to need the rest the most. If he's shattered, swap in Freeman or Robinson.

It’s all about recovery times and pre season training.
If the lads got their conditioning right we should be recovered enough to field the same side if we wanted too from Watford.

however, whichever City side turn up it means a lot of running chasing runners and closing space. So with Liverpool to come soon after added to the lack of recovery time from Watford there will surely be some changes.

From the back line we have players close to suspensions. The full backs cover the most ground in most games but won’t be in the next two games. So no changes, I just don’t expect to see much of the overlapping just defending.
Midfield is where we looked leggy at times on Boxing Day. Lunny looked tired and didn’t look to have his usual energy. You can tell when Norwood is tired as his passing isn’t as impeccable, and he made a few tired passes. There is a reason a lad his age ditched international football, and I suspect there may be an underlying issue for him that needs careful management. So we need changes in there.

Up top it’s a thankless task closing down defenders, even more so those that keep the ball well. OM always looks tired, may be that odd robotic running style, Mousset also struggles to chase and Harry for long periods. However city defensively aren’t great so we need to have a go with our best forward line as we stand a better chance here than Anfield IMHO.
