Are they not bothering today? Some commentary for my £4 a month would be nice.
 



snap something wrong?? i can't make the game because of the switch. RS on wednesday said they were featuring them on the late kick off again
 
You'll have to listen to the Scunthorpe commentary, a bloke with a weird accent and a jock unfortunately........... mind, probably beats Dumb & Dumber.
 
The Scunthorpe commentary is working, which I'm having to rely on.
 
same here. but it's OK, interesting to hear the other point of view.
 
The Scunthorpe commentators keep talking about Quinn being the danger man and how they've got a chance if they can keep him quiet. Must be a different Quinn to the one I've seen too many times in a United shirt.
 
Keith Edwards is tearing his hair out at our set pieces and has actually begged Kevin Blackwell for a job on air (although he covered this up by saying it was tongue in cheek)
 
No commentary until 77th minute it was RS fault

For you fans who had no commentary on Bladesplayer I contacted them they said the problem was Radio Sheffields.

The club itself is responsible for selecting a broadcaster to provide that commentary. The broadcaster (usually a local radio station) is responsible for providing that commentary via a landline to the Perform Group so that it can be encoded and streamed.



In this case the radio station failed to connect via the landline.



Although we do our best to ensure that the commentaries are available on time, we are totally in the hands of the radio station, over whom we have no sanction.



We do apologise for the lack of commentary.

Christ on a bike! But its Blades Player (or whatever the firm's called) that we pay for the service, not RS or the club so they have to take responsibility and for my mind refund us, whilst sorting it out in the back ground with the club or RS.

I got the same response from the club - to the word, almost. It was largely inadequate, given that they do take the money. I wrote them back and asked them to clarify the chain of responsibility: is it the fault of BBC RS; Perform Group Interactive (PGi), who do the encoding and streaming; or the club? Suggested that I was anticipating seeing some impressive finger-pointing commence, rather than getting an actual answer or acceptance of responsibility . . .

Given that it is my only access to the matches, they have me (and many others) over a barrel - but I'm reaching the point where making their lives a living hell is sounding more and more appealing.

Someone is definitely asleep at the switch.
 



It may sound harsh, but I don't want excuses. I just want to be able to do what I signed up for and pay for... The internal problems that they have aren't my concern.

I responded to a survey for Blades player this week and my comments were the same.

I don't want to see endless videos interviewing players and asking them what they like to eat for tea. I only want accurate football news on the OS. I only want commentry on the matches and goals a couple of days later on Blades Player
 
Slightly interesting response to my second message of yesterday:

Dear xxxx,

We are investigating the issue with the radio station and the commentary was streaming for us without interruptions which indicates an issues with the connection from the radio station via our encoders.

We apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused.

Not entirely certain what they mean by that, but at least they suggest they are 'investigating' . Nice to know that THEY could hear the commentary.

We shall see, I suppose.
