We need to appreciate and back this fella one thousand percent.
In Bash, Sharp, Fleck etc we have a few players that completely sum up what we are all about and McGoldrick is definitely on that list.
Pushing 30, been released, having to come on trial...
To tearing the Championship to bits, scoring for fun, working his bollocks off, showing incredible moments of creativity and flair in the toughest league in the world and above all NEVER hiding or shirking responsibility.

If he sums us up, then our support of him should sum us up as well.
We recognise hard work, we appreciate class and we reward effort.
He is a hero at the Lane and should be treated that way every single game if he keeps this up.

I'm confused, sure I've read that he should be dropped for not scoring.

Do I hate or love?

Only joking Mr McGoldrick, your a 🥇

I stand almost directly behind the goal and could see McGoldricks facial expressions really clearly.
He looked really upset regards his early misses but towards the end when he missed he was laughing to himself...as though if he didn’t laugh then he’d cry.
The guy is suffering so thought it was great that the Kop showed they fully support him.....by chanting his name.

First half thought McGoldrick and Mousset were really poor....half expected McG to be substituted at half time....everything he tried failed....worse game in weeks.
However 2nd half he returned to his high standards and eventhough he didn’t score he showed how vital he is to our team.

Mark Duffy was always the player that I enjoyed watching the most......now it’s David McGoldrick.....both have been class for us.

At least he didn't thump the pitch this week. I reckon he's been told not to do that y'know. A sort of, "lay off the Desso", warning. It's expensive. It's not like grass. He could do some serious damage if he starts laying into the Desso like he did the other week in that away game. Best thing for him would be to score a goal, otherwise he's going to end up creating a sinkhole somewhere.

I reckon CW has sat him down and just shown him that assist over and over again and said ‘keep doing things like that and don’t worry about missing chances, only worry if you’re not getting chances’.

Every time McGoldrick hit the Desso Jamie Murphy felt a clump round his head.

You can here the chant very clearly on the Sky highlights after the second goal. However it was mostly sung after each miss!

We've come a long way from from ironically cheering George Long for making a simple catch.

and they gave, and they gave, and they gave big Dave away...
