Gone Elsewhere Jarrod Bowen

Bowen is primarily a winger (Right winger) though he can play on both wings, and the centre as a "shadow striker" - Transfermarkt.

Transfermarkt is rubbish.

Bowen is a forward, in his last 3 games, he's played wide right, in the number 10 position and lead the line up front.
He can play in any forward position, think a poor man's Son Hueng Min or Raheem Sterling.

I know the type of player he is, quality who's going to get better. Definitely one worth breaking the bank for.

We can snap him up for next to nothing in the transfer window or grab him for free at the end of the season since he will be out of contract.

Hull have the option to extend his contract.

According to the local rag here in dull , Newcastle, Spurs and villa (surprise surprise) are interested in him

I reckon they will want north of £25m which is crackers but also could be a steal.

I don't think we have the tools to play with a 10. We play Lundstram, partly to look after Norwood who lacks athleticism. If we bought someone like Bowen & played him instead of Lundstram we'd be overrun in midfield.

Know what you mean, and CWAK clearly agree, but we never got overrun last season when we played Duffy, probably because he gave the defence, and Norwood, an out ball. We have to try it sometime, and I wonder what we'd do if Lunny was injured or suspended ?

He’s a winger / inside forward.

So doesn’t suit our system. Unless we’re stopping the overloads of wing back / centre halves, which I’d suggest was nonsense.

Seems an expensive signing for someone who doesn’t fit into our system at all, and / or a strange January signing of someone who needs completely retraining at a time where we want some instant impact.

Agree unless he'd be able to play as the second striker that is able to drop deep/drift when required i.e. the McGoldrick role. That may work well if CW is planning to continue with a flat mid 3.

Dull daily fail reporting that we are amongst 7 clubs interested in Bowen

Wasn't/isn't Robinson a winger/inside forward also?

Perhaps he would actually be better playing up front. Thierry Henry started life as a winger and was moved. Jags used to play in midfield. Basham never used to play as an overlapping centre back.
