Has a player ever been sent off before and then allowed to continue?

Penalty, red, then overturned if I remember

is that the one that was another Battle of Bramall Lane, loads of players got sent off. we ended up losing it 2-3?? i might have misremembered this. if only there was a quick and convenient way to check the facts.

new song for bash
"Should I stay or Should I go...VAR",
for once in our favour

Shocking decision from the referee to give a foul and a red card for that.

That is the standard of refs we had to put up with in League 1. Thankfully that day we had a clued up linesman that wasn't blind.

Didn't Teddy Lucic get sent off against us in the FA Cup, after the referee mistook him for fellow baldy Danny Mills, before he realised his mistake?

I liked John. I think Clough was to blame for his hero to almost zero status with us.

Had he not got injured against Swindon in the playoffs, I think he would have been a very good player for us (which could potentially have prolonged either Clough’s or Adkins’ tenure and therefore been a disaster!)

Everything about that video is depressing. Empty stands, shit ref, shit football, shit kit, John Brayford.

That kit is underrated. The Macron template of it, especially for Betis, is up there.

That injury ruined his career. He was never quite the same again after that.

Who was the VAR ref at Stockley today who made the historic decision?

im sure that in wolves v man utd fa cup quarter final on bbc. a man utd player was sent off & was resinceded

i can see why a red was given it looked baf on replay & neither Andy or Keith disagreed on radio . but you have to trust them Thurs trust them today. otherwise we ending to weird place players will just be ignoring officials. & they said VAR will not be re-refereeing but thats exactly what they are doing

Well I'm sure Bash is the first league player to have a red rescinded by VAR.

It's now so blatantly obvious that VAR is not being used as it should and teams are having stupid decisions made against them!
Without VAR Bash would have walked, some would say "never a red" while others would say " reckless challenge" etc.
The bottom line is it's becoming bizarre when decisions are made in this way!
As for the penalty call/offside....????
I've only seen the highlights so difficult for me to give an opinion, but the EPL need to seriously look at how VAR has been implemented and decide to use it under much stricter control and only for certain situations.
The 2nd Newcastle United goal being a prime example of how stupid it's become!

Currently it's killing the game rather than improving it and something needs to be done!
