We should really be looking at taking 3 points here. Blackpool are poor on the road and recently got turned over at the tin can Oakwell. We have been generally pretty good at home (at least results wise) and normally i'd expect us to beat a team like Blackpool comfortably. However, i'm not confident.

This game has dull draw written all over it. My prediction a poor 1-1 draw mounting more pressure on the inept Blackwell.

Aye... I don't think I could be any less enthused about a trip to the Lane tonight. It's a good job there's these establishments called "public houses" where one can order intoxicating beverages and where one can grumble collaboratively with other like-minded souls.

Keep an eye on the Twitter feed tonight (link in signature below). Will give you a boo-by-boo account of what the general consensus of the crowd is.

I have a feeling that we'll lose this game 2-1, with a late goal. I have no idea why, and I hope I'm wrong.

Is the protest happening tonight then, or not? Not that I'll go, because I can't be arsed to even watch the game, never mind stand in the car park with my shoes above my head in a sign of pure anger. The fact that my feet were cold would infuriate me even more!

I'm hoping if it is, it's kept to outside or after the final whistle.

Holloway said the other week that his gameplan is to frustrate us/score early, if that happens, our fans will have a massive impact on the rest of the game.

Blades have to win pretty much every game now. I think the playoffs are a long shot now personally. Based on historic facts we would need 70 points minimum so we can only drop another 9 points from a remaining 30 available.

Regardless of that, they need to win tonight for the manager's sake. We look awkward and disjointed at the minute but I feel Blackpool are performing well above themselves.

My prediction 2-2 draw and more frustration

It might just be the comms on Bladesworld but the atmosphere sounds dead tonight

And they forgot to turn off the microphone and switch to Radio Sheff at half time

Damn. Monty scores when I'm not there??!! Good on the bloke though, no-one I'd rather have got a goal for us.

And hey presto, that goal goes into his video montage when his agent looks to tout him around the Championship!

One point behind Cardiff as it stands. ;) Mind you, it's so close down to mid-table we can drop a few places next time we play away.

Bugger - Cardiff winning so 3 points behind again.

Sick as a pig. i couldn't go tonight either. I'd have cheered my bollox off when Monty scored - he is Sean Bean's tattoo. And it's nights like this that will make the doubters renew those season tickets.

Spoke to soon Berks! 90th Min Pen!

And a 90 Min winner for Donny to take them within a point of us.

So Saturday we play Donny away and Weds we go away to Cardiff.

Its a big 8 days for us!

Can't complain tonight.

As I text to happyhippy, there was real danger of actual football breaking out amongst the United ranks and our man Monty was right there in the thick of it.

Some irritating offsides from Camera and some irritatingly not-offside-but-given-anyway decisions from the linesman on our side.

Blackpool were absolutely shite. And I feel sorry for their fans tonight. Thought they were going to come at us but they could hardly raise a peep.

More of the same please for a satisfying end to the season.

They were worse than I expected, but I wouldn't say it was the fact that they were shite.

They knocked it around well (if no end product) and kept going till the last.

Might have been a different story if we hadn't have got the early goal, but I think there was more to it than them being shite :)

They were about as scared of the ball as we've been so far this season. Their defenders put it into touch with the slightest presence of a United player and they failed to close us down with any conviction.

We played well... but we were allowed to play well.

Yeah right.... I've just twigged, this is 1st April isn't it!

Or for once, we put them on the back foot and forced proceedings early doors ;)

I'd be interested to see if anyone could complain tonight.

I'd hazard a guess that if we played like that every week, we'd have fewer people grumbling at the present.

But thats the whole point, we know we can do it so why do we bother with le hoof and we kept a clean sheet with our 38th choice back 4

so did we actually play football last night?

has blackie gone on holiday and left some1 else in charge?

Something curious piqued my attention last night.

Until the third goal went in, KB spent most of his time leaning on the dugout while Gary Speed was at the edge of the technical area issuing orders.

When the third goal went in, they swapped. I pointed it out to the people I was sat with at the time and filed it under "interesting".

Blackwell was also heard shouting, and some of you may have to sit down for this one, "to feet, to feet".
