His pressing and closing down is his worst attribute for our style of play, he looks languid. Not saying he's a bad signing, but our forwards need to put in a shift off the ball, it's key to our system.

I would class McGoldrick and Mousset as superstars. He needs to displace one of those two, I think he will eventually. If he doesn’t then we will be doing very well in the league and we should all be happy about that.

Mc Burnie again got 17 minutes so has played a total 65 minutes in 8 games.
Thought he was held back in the late chance could have been a penalty.
He came on with Wolves in the ascendancy after they'd equalised and helped procure a good point. This helped us equal the beat ever prem start away for a newly promoted club since. Blackburn in the prems first season of 7 unbeaten.
Yes we'd all like mcgoldrick and. Mc Burnie to score every game but we live in the real world where 10 a season is a top striker in the prem

He's scored two goals that required outstanding technique.

Header against Leicester was rated as something like 20% rate of conversion. The goal against Man Utd was technically brilliant - look how quickly he controls the ball on his knee, instantly pulls back his arm to avoid the handball, and watches the ball onto his foot for the volley. Connects perfectly, no snatching at it despite it being the 93rd minute or whatever.

Does anybody else at the club score those two goals? He's been a bit-part player so far, but those two bits have been absolutely outstanding.

I reckon mcburnie will get around the double figure mark which is about right for a player in his first season and for what he cost
Next season I'd except him to improve on that ,40-50 goals

I thought he did well when he came on today, worked hard, played with energy and enthusiasm. Got about the pitch and made some valuable defensive interceptions.

We all know how to play McGoldrick and Mousset now. It's become clear how we set up, what we look for and how we play to their strengths when one or both are in the side.

My dad (not a big Mcburnie fan) says his lackluster closing down and pressing puts us under pressure, and he says that was evident when he came on against Man United.

I'm a big McBurnie, or at least I fully back him to become a great player for us but I have to admit that I thought he had a point.
McGoldricks pressing is incredible, he wins the ball back a LOT for a striker and his quick feet and brain help us out of those tight situations to counter attack. His style has rubbed off on Moose too, the lads work rate is first rate and now his fitness and strength is back up he is a nightmare for defenders that like to 'put their foot on the ball'.
Do you think Mcburnie closes down and nicks possession back well enough?
When we go forward Oli plays some killer passes in the final third, in the time I've seen him he not only makes some very good decisions with his passes but he is very accurate with them too, my other question is though - what passes does he need?
Is he simply a fox in the box?
Does he need more aerial crosses?
What type of runs should he be making?

Personally I think he is crying out for Freeman to play behind him in the (Duffy role) but with that looking unlikely for a while, what type of service does he need and who should be giving it him?

I really don't understand the criticism from many on this forum in regards to McBurnie in terms of his twitter account. To my knowledge, and yes I have seen his his twitter account , he posted once, maybe twice when he was with Swansea fans: I actually thought that was great, it shows that he established a real bond with them and why shouldn't he support them to do well still. If any ex Blades player had done that we'd have loved it. I've also not seen him posting much with his mates certainly not for many weeks. Seems to post on boxing and occasionally on Rangers, that again I think is great that he shows he is a proper football fan.

As a player he's young raw and learning in the toughest league in the world.
