Agree...it’s really funny and a big blessing in disguise that vast majority of PL fans are clueless snobs.
Also it’s interesting seeing the brainwashing power of the media. At the moment Wilder is seen as this “manager who makes his players work so hard”.
His reputation amongst the masses is still a Tony Pullis/ Sam Allydyce type and once mud sticks it’s almost impossible to remove.

The bottom line is that in the PL appointing someone like Wilder is very much out of fashion.

Its bizarre and quite comical that many fans would prefer their clubs to be battling relegation if it meant they could have a Mourinho or Zidane as manager.
Compared to chasing a Champions League spot if meant they were forced to suffer the embarrassment of having Wilder as manager.

The stupidity of the average PL football fan who is obsessed with fashion means we’ll keep Wilder much longer than expected.

Entirely wrong job for him, and as I keep saying why would Everton pick Wilder over Dyche or Howe who's proven themselves at this level for a longer period of time.
Everton have an expensively assembled squad which Wilder would need to dismantle at significant additional cost.
Look at their squad, and then assess which players he'd want to move out (which will be at a loss) to fit his ethos, and then add in the player's he'd want to bring in?

It just doesn't make sense for either the club nor Wilder.

I't becoming a worrying trend right now that there isn't a day that goes by of late where some ex player or pundit touts Wilder for another job.

These are truly great days but doing as well as we are is in a weird way becoming to worry me because of the threat of another club coming in for him.

This is what I kinda think too, the top team players have got to a point where their wages are so incredibly high and their agents have so much influence, that they dont care if they arent being picked. They're happy to pick up their wages each week and sit and play golf or Fortnite or whatever throughout the season and let their contract run down and know their agent will get them a new gig no matter what.

At the moment Wilder has got a team who are hungry to play, get to the next level, earned an improved contract and so on... completely different kettle of fish when you're managing one of the bigger clubs

I listened for the first time in months last night and he had created a list of the 5 best Dutch players to ever play in the Prem. Despite my concerns, I'm optimistic that Wilder will stay because he must be loving life right now at United, he's built this team that runs through brick walls for him, obviously the Blade factor too but probably most importantly, we've not hit our ceiling yet. I was going to write the same. Wilder lives in Sheffield and still socialises with his old pals, who are Blades.

Assume he would want to continue living in Sheffield so what ever he does believe it’s important that he’ll want to be able to walk around Sheffield with his head held high.

I would think his ambition is to take SU as far as he’s allowed. Once the club has hit its potential....or there are restrictions/ fall outs with the board....then he’ll look at moving on.

Remember when Wilder left Northampton, their fans were gutted but genuinely pleased for him and he’s still a legend at the Cobblers.

I’m hoping that when he leaves us he will go on great terms with the club paying tribute by building a statue of him in the car park.

Said that he could definitely see the argument for JOC being included and thought Hendo should have been included. Also said that if Egan was English he'd be an absolute shoe in as "he's an absolute colossus".

Quite rightly mentioned that the selection could well be down to the formation GS wants to play with JOC currently in a 3 and that not being his preferred formation at present and also most likely reason why Coady hasn't had a look in yet.
