As per The Rev, overall figures are easily distorted when taking into account promoted/relgated sides. If we still had Norwich and Charlton instead of Scunny and Posh then attendances would be up given the addition of the Cartoon Army.

What might be more interesting would be to look at the Championships perma-clubs (Cov, Dingles, Derby, QPR, Brizzle) and see how they have moved if you are looking for evidence of recession.
 
I'm talking about the sharply diminishing crowds over the last 3 home games. That has nothing to do with any general reductions here or elsewhere.

Thats where you may be wrong? you see i nearly didn't buy a season ticket because of loss of income. If i had not then i would have picked and chosen games. As the football is not entertaining and income is still not great then the recession would have influenced me.

Yes i also understand that may be a better way but dont forget Scunny were in the div two seasons ago.
