Crowd tonight

I've a season ticket for the South Stand. Tonight I went on the kop. I've not been on the kop for 2 seasons but tonight was as loud as it's ever been.

Brilliant atmosphere. And as those scousers said the crowd are not just the 12th man but the 13th man as well.

Not great tonight but good. More impressive against Liverpool and Leicester but tonight's good is better than most other Premier teams good.

Sorry I've had a few UTFUCKINGMAGNICENTBLADES!!

Apparently it sounded good on Sky. I was in the BL upper and I thought the South stand block H was proper loud at times. It wasn't Istanbul but it was still a good atmosphere. One of the negatives to the increase in crowds is that inevitably the increase in numbers brings more neutrals and fair weather fans, that could be a factor but its still a great atmosphere overall. I think you'll find most away fans will say its a goof atmosphere and thankfully not like many of the modern bowl stadiums.

Felt like a normal game. Nothing special.

John St and South Stand were right on it once we got within 30 seconds of victory though. Kop stood up too.
Not sure what you’re expecting really Ricky. I thought we were as good as any fans I’ve heard in the past 3 seasons tonight mate. It’s a fine balance between holding your breath for 2 minutes and screaming like a demented banshee.

Ricky is the resident Meldrew. No reliant in his skip last time he looked before bed.
He'll sleep well.:)

TBF though, the tea lady made more noise tonight than your BL upper experiment did that time.

Bitch comment.

Tonight was like Brentford at home last season or something.

Are we only allowed to praise the crowd? Is 'nothing special' just that bit too offensive?

Bitch comment

Yeah fair comment. It was a low blow, and I apologise, but it seems you like to stick the boot into our fans (and especially the Kop) at every opportunity.

We were back of the Kop tonight and it was almost constant noise, and raucous at times, disjointed occasionally but still constant and loud. I'm currently sat watching the Sky coverage and it's a wall of sound from our end. The commentators mentioned numerous times how loud we were and how much we backed the team.

Having a pop seems crazy. Most grounds are dogshit for noise from the home fans. We've been amazing this season, and the backing tonight was first class, again!

You seem to constantly want to affect change. Maybe the best way you could that would be to join the back of the Kop and join in?

We've had a "great atmosphere" thread after every home game this season. Sometimes understandable, sometimes unjustified.

Go and have a look how often I've bothered to comment on any of them. Only takes one comment from me and the mind assumes I must have been at it all season....

Fuck knows what your last line means.

I thought it was a bit patchy, and that was from front-left of the Kop. Couldn’t really understand why either. First half there was minimal atmosphere up till the goal, an initial decent burst after the goal, but then the half finished with it still a bit flat. It was better 2nd half once the crowd seemed to realise Arsenal had picked up and it was going to be backs-to-the-wall. It then ended strongly.

What was I expecting? Not sure tbh. I would put the atmosphere at the Liverpool game at A’s close to a 100% as it can be. As it was a rare night game, I was expecting something 90% ish. This was more like 70-75% last night.

Crowd made no difference, Arsenal just had an off day.

😂

I thought kip was excellent. It went a little quiet for a period when we was under the cosh but so did their fans. Tense for us as we didn’t want to concede and tense for them looking to score.

I did love the fact we had a lot of the classics out tonight though not just allez

Decent enough from where I was towards the back of the Kop. I think it’s better when we’re on the front though. Most people (including me) too nervous/tense to sing at times when we’re holding on to a lead, which is understandable.
