McCabe's talking as if Wilder and Prince aren't on good terms when before season started Prince and Wilder met to discuss matters on this season probably I.E Wages, Budget for season, Target for season. Again trying to scare fans over nowt

If it is true that all parties concerned already knew what the outcome was on Saturday, then I recall CW looking like the cat that got the cream when he did his live interview from BL with Football Focus. So I'm not buying this scare mongering just yet.

The tide of public support seems to have quite quickly turned against McCabe due to his words since the ruling. He seems to be doing more harm to his reputation rather than getting people onside. Nobody wants to see the club dragged through the press in this way and nobody wants someone like Jim White given ammunition to make claims about Wilder being on the verge of leaving.

You're alright with Jim White! Can't stand his presentation on Talksport or the endless SELCO, ITS WHERE THE TRADE GOES!

Saying that I do listen because they have some decent presenters on there, White's not one of them.

I think McCabe's entitled to express his views but he would be wise to take stock before saying much.

Indeed, but with their being a chance of the offer being accepted he was OK with the £5m and the assets.

I would imagine he thought I'd take £5m + assets as a worst case scenario, but if the Prince can't afford the assets as per my interpretation of the agreement I'm going to make more by getting his for £5m and then flogging it to the Americans. The move pulled off by the Prince was something that never occured to McCabe or his, highly paid, solicitors.

He's not really lost anything due to him being prepared to take £5m + assets to start with, which is what he's getting.

My take is that he thought the Prince couldn’t afford to buy the stadium (etc) so would decline the opportunity to counter offer. He wasn’t aware that the Prince had already circumvented the requirement to buy the stadium and was free to make the counter offer without being forced to buy it.

That’s why he made the offer of £5m, not the £10m he was going to offer originally. He thought ‘well he can’t afford the stadium, therefore can’t make a counter offer so I can offer £5m, he’ll have to accept it and I’ve saved myself £5m’.

Im now convinced KM wants a fan backlash to help him return to the club in some form or other. He won't get it.

The two were still communicating right up to the judgement!

Once the Walker/Maguire etc and the Brooks money ran out, we’d have been losing big money every season if we’d stayed in the championship. If I were McCabe I’d appeal. A faint chance, perhaps, but a lot of upside and shouldn’t be as expensive as the trial.

Simon Jordan was right it was McCabe who started the action and he put the £5m on the table. He could have made it £20m and the prince would have to do the same or take the deal. He tried a cheap shot and got shot instead. I think the evidence is the key not Kevin’s view or opinion. The judge was pretty clear in his view of Mr McCabe. You gambled and lost Kevin. Walk away gracefully please IF as you say you love the club.

He’s always been prickly and overplayed the “there’s no bigger Blade than me” mantra but he needs to accept he gambled and lost - and walk away making sure he does not destabilise the club any more.

In stark contrast the Prince has come across very well and has said all the right things. Clearly he needs to deliver on those words but it’s a reassuring start for me.

He may own the ground but as long as the rent’s been paid, he’ll not be in a position to just turn up stroll around the building like he used to without the new owner’s permission or an appointment and rightly so. Just imagine the negativity that he could spread if this is episode is anything to go on..

I’m not sure that the ban would extend to him not attending games, but obviously he might not be welcome in the directors box.

I believe that the owners of the club have the right to refuse admission to whom ever it deems. Anyone can be excluded with or without good reason. Also, the tenant of the property has to be allowed peaceable possession in as much as they should not have an undue amount of ‘ inspection visits’ but left to enjoy the property they pay rent for EVEN IF they get into arrears. Correspondence needs to take place prior to any visits. I really like McCabe for what he has done for the Blades but he has brought this on himself. For what it is worth, I firmly believe that if we were still in LG 1 he would be delighted at the ruling. It’s all about the money and what United’s true worth is now, not when the option was exercised.

Meh. It's an odd one. Most of the thrust of his argument seems to be ''I love SUFC me, he doesn't''. Two issues with that....

1) I hope his legal argument was better than that, because while emotionally it makes the heart soar, logically it mings.
2) Loving the thing doesn't guarentee you do the best for it.

I'd have preferred McCabe to win but we are where we are: he was careless, our future has a higher degree of uncertainty. That's about as much as we can say at the moment.

Not for much longer. As recorded in the judgment, the Prince exercised the option to buy just before the trial, and McCabe must sell it to the Prince now he’s lost the case.

But can they argue over the price?

Well you're entitled to your opinion and I suppose it's a bit like brexit in no one really knows what will happen, I'm a bit wary of the prince as we're now in the hands of someone who doesn't have the wealth to take it on without the help of others which is a worry for me.

the court re-convenes on the 14 Oct does that mean he cant have control until McCabe decides on an appeal ,he will have 3 weeks to decide?.The court case is still live as McCabe can appeal.I have
No idea what happens !.
How can the prince claim victory when an appeal could turn the result upside down.

How do you know he has not got the wealth to take it on?

Was it McCabe or the girl from the star that publicised it.
Sometimes people only believe what they are told or what they want to believe.
