We seem to be clutching at a few straws with our line up. We don’t really don’t seem to be settled on our front pairing with our middle 3 also in a state of flux also. I know Fleck had a pretty solid return to the side, but I must admit I was disappointed to see Freeman left out. He has brought a renewed energy to our midfield, which we sadly lacked on Saturday.

If Didsy could stay fit and finish this wouldn't be his first Prem season.

Absolutely, if he was clinical and had been all his career he wouldn’t have been on our radar. I’m not saying he’d have been playing for a top 6 club, but I’m sure his career would have taken a very different path and we’d have been watching him this season as an opposition player.

For nowt, we get absolutely shit loads of value out of him, but I just don’t think he’s a striker.

Didds will sadly miss many more chances like the first one which is why we got him for nothing but if Henderson stops the same effort it's a great save! He will however get 10 or so goals this season but does bring so much more to the table. Re the volley it doesnt matter how sweetly you time it if it ain't on target it probably wont go in.

But he scored some quality goals at vital stages of games last season
Part of the huge connection between fans players and manager has been the back story of these players and how they have arrived where we are now
Didsy obviously has a pyschological barrier to overcome ,maybe he never will but in all areas of his game except finishing he looks a premier League footballer
Hopefully he will take the next step in his development but he is not alone as a drawback of our fantastic achievement is having a squad full of players who haven't proved themselves at this level
We need to stick with them and get behind them as even if we do go down we will be in the strongest position as a club we've been in in my lifetime

It’s a tough one because he got us over the line last few games last season, and don’t forget some of our forward line were not quite match fit. Robinson seems to pick up minor injuries quickly! But hopefully the moose is nearer to full match fitness now. I think start with Moose and Robinson/ macburnie, and stick with it ! Give them time to Gell. Also would like to see fleck , freeman and Norwood start

Honestly, I watched ravel at the Blackburn game. He looked a little shaky, and a bit of a luxury player! Don’t think he would be track back ! Don’t read anything into MOTM because we were very poor! Best of a bad bunch if you like!

Speaking as a prolific ex centre forward (they didn't call em strikers in my day) I think in many ways the "hard" chances are much easier than the "easy" ones.

The time is the problem, is means you have to make choices and allows indecision to occur.

If you don't have time you do what comes naturally and take indecision out of the equation.

Believe me, having time as a striker is not all it's cracked up to be. I've been there.

Yeah I thought that’s how you keep a squad happy and onboard, by creating a true meritocracy. You’ve got to make every player believe they can see a clear pathway to a shirt if they play well.

Didsy is a great team player and never lets the manager down in terms of chasing down lost causes and dropping back a bit deeper to help out the midfield- we all love him for this commitment.

Unfortunately he is not a natural ‘finisher’ as in the Keith Edwards or Billy Sharp mould. The one on one on Saturday was straight at an advancing keeper where perhaps the ball should have been lifted over him as he was a good 10 yards off his line. Also the chance at Bournemouth in the first minute looked like he was slightly leaning back and did not get a clean contact so the keeper makes the save.

CW has to make the choice between an all out strike force of say McBurnie & Mousset/Robinson or a lone striker plus the versatility of Didsy- either way we need to be tucking away clear one on ones or points will go begging.

I don't get how you think that fleck had a very good game and was involved in a lot of good movement and creating chances he hardly wastes the ball Freeman wastes a lot of good balls to him
