That Chance

Chances at this level are more at a premium and you'll rue missed chances more than in the Championship.

In fairness both teams missed a few good chances today but we were punished ultimately.

We once had a player called Jan Aage Fjortoft. I remember one goal he scored - he was in a similar position to him yesterday. He swung his leg pretending to shoot but in effect a dummy. This left the keeper on the ground and he just knocked it over him. Was brilliant.

One of the best finishes I’ve ever seen. Sadly I’ve only seen it done once in 30 years so not much hope for Didsy on that one... :)

With the more defensive midfield three we’ve switched to, McGoldrick adds loads of value with his movement - dropping deep between the lines.
Certainly dropped back into the back line in the second half to get the ball

I'm saying it was at the Lane and was against either Grimsby or Crewe?? It was bloody wonderful though. Up there with his two finishes against Pompey at The Lane.

Fjortoft may not be quite the best player I've ever seen for us, but I'm fairly certain he was the smartest.

Seeing mcgoldrick's chance again on MOTD it's even worse than I thought earlier today, you just do not and should not miss that as a striker.. AWFUL is an understatement!

Just watched it on the Sky PL hits. Didsy has a year to pick his spot and still aims for the fucking keeper!

Jan Aage was a great finisher though

I know this sounds very basic but they need to be giving him 30 mins extra in training per day on one v ones and general finishing.

It will become a problem. And it's a shame as he's a lovely player to have in the team. But you can't keep going with a lovely forward with no end product.

He's missed some chances this season that's true but no one else is getting in the position to miss
He had a similar spell last season and the stick he got on here was as bad as it is now
i think if he gets one he will get a hatful and I'd stick with him
It's a shame we can't play him behind the front two as he is far more effective dropping deep but none of the other strikers seem to fit the lone striker role .maybe the moose if he ever gets match fit

Bit like me with women on a Saturday night, missed a few chances, come Sunday I regret it
