We've never been as successful from corners since that vlog posted all our little tricks last Autumn

Came here to say this. There was an excellent piece of analysis of our set pieces by a neutral that went viral early last season. We've never really looked a threat since.

I did notice Fleck run over a free kick yesterday and pretended like they'd it fucked up, before immediately swivelling to hit an in-swinger while everyone was off guard. Would have looked genius if we'd scored from it.

Blackburn's Mulgrew seems able to do this, but it does seem rarer now. All these goalies way over 6 foot tall must make it harder.

That and the fact that in those days the goalies were probably playing with a hangover and had a pre-match meal of steak pie and chips. Slightly different times I'd say.

The quality of our corners haven't improved, how many chances do we create from them? In the Premier League chances are at a premium and can't afford to be wasteful from corners.

Prem defences are just better. Not sure the delivery has been that bad, even if we haven’t had many near dos.

Moreover, 5 games is small sample size when only 3% lead to goals as an overall stat.

Yesterday we were hitting their players, we had little creativity and we seemed a small side. Were they a lot taller than us?

In past games we've at least been competitive on corners, yesterday we weren't
