Silent, is this photo the 1967-68 FAC 6thR match or the later, 6th April 3-0 league loss? I used to know but sands of time and all that, thank you in advance. Also, anyone, who's the filling in the J Charlton (Spit), Hodgy sandwich? Surely must be Mallender, again thank you in advance.

Bert is 4,500 miles from his garage right now. He will send his housekeeper to investigate, but it's very doubtful that anything much is signed. Bert was never one for collecting autographs.

Using the services of a rather good forger of warrants to enter premises and a professional looking bailiff's badge, Bert will find his garage has been emptied and his stock of fine wines and cigars removed. Bert will be hearing from his distressed housekeeper shortly.

In the meantime if Bert could reveal where he has left his watch collection, Big Vern (TM Crab Industries) will put the petrol can down and stop smoking his cheroot. ;)😁

Thanks for confirmation on which match but regards the player in the sandwich, isn't that Bernard Shaw behind Bremner? Sorry to be so taxing, it was a genuine question and I did leave it open to all members. It's probably unanswerable, except by the bloke who it actually is, a split second out of ninety odd minuets play. Positionally and with an educated guess surly it must be Mallender. Thank you again for your input always appreciated.

You are forgetting about Bert's guard dogs, they can't read.

Never heard of Park Drive.. though do recall Park Lane, sister mag of Lovebirds and Playbirds. I’m told issue 33 is highly collectible as a Mary Millington special.. younger Blades ask your Dad what happened before tinternet was invented...

Never heard of Park Drive? - standard drug in S2 in the 50's/60's. We were started on packets of 2 Dominos ( corner shop would even split a packet of 2 if skint) and then onto 5 Park Drive when we could afford 'em. Graduated onto 10's and moved upmarket when old enough to afford 'owt better. Non tipped until tips were invented!!

Felt a bit like sex with a Johnny ( Durex) on but somehow we knew it made sense even though the first big national scare about the tobacco drug didn't bombshell us until 1968 as I remember it, cos that's when I stopped,; the very day the Daily Mirror published it.
