Scotland Fans Views On Oli McBurnie

McBurnie will prove Scotland fans wrong I'm sure. From what I heard, he started really well and then as whole Scotland deteriorated and if McBurnie gets little service what do they expect him to do.

That's probably because they'e looking at him in purely football terms whereas many of the fans, like fans of any football club, need a fall guy and clearly McBurnie is that right now. Its not helped by the comments he recently made, irrespective of the context, but they should be looking at the lack of quality coming through their own ranks as opposed to faulting players like McBurnie who wants to play for Scotland and is their best forward.
 
Am I right in thinking that the club's official media team accidentally leaked the video of McBurnie slagging Scotland duties off to Fleck? If so, what a monumental cock up.

Seems that way yes. I’m not sure if it was an obvious comment or just background chatter picked up on the mic, but at this level everyone at the club needs to be cuter. It’s done nobody any favours.

Oli had his best game for Scotland last night, he hasn't been very good for us up until now. He's up against a prejudice against "Championship" strikers who've played for Scotland too, because most of them have been dogshit, so he has a lot to prove. His comments caught on camera were another nail in the coffin.

It's got nothing to with his team or where he was born. There have been plants English and flute playing strikers for Scotland in the past with little or no fuss.

He starts scoring and people will change their minds. Such is the fickle nature of football fandom...

Wish people who haven’t got a clue what type of player McBurnie is would stop talking shit just because he’s 6ft3 and can head a ball well.
He’s a terrific footballer, will drop deep to collect, lovely first touch, lots of technical ability and a slight turn of pace for his height. People see him standing tall and assume he’s just a big daft target man. It’s complete horse shit.

To be fair, if an England player slagged us (England) off I wouldn’t want them to play for us again.

I think Oli is decent but we did pay over the odds for him.

As for the Scotland football team, I can’t stand the skirt wearing sweaties so like to see them get beat regardless of whether they have a Blade in the team or not.

Oli v Maupay

If you regularly set up Maupay, Sharp and Ollie then Ollie is the worse of the 3. It’s unfair to compare these 3 strikers because although Ollie is the worse finisher You're getting Maupay and McBurnie mixed up.

yes but everyone in Scotland seems to hate Rangers.. i was up in Scotland as you know for a couple of years and the Rangers lads were top drawer .. the Celtic lot though were a set of w@nkers IME

Mate you seem to think I don't like McBurnie and nothing can be further from the truth , the mix of players the Wilder has put together is UNBELIVABLE and excites me , there are so many options to the team and the way we can play .The whole talking points of who will have been best Maupay or Mcburnie , who will Wilder choose to play with who up front , Mosset who ( yes its early days ) looks as though he could be a frightening player he seems to have the whole lot as a striker , to will Billy start , to even will Leon come on in the Premiership !!
Personally the thought of McBurnie and Billly next to him ,I just think will be interesting to see . I would put Mcburnie as the same player as Bentek or Andy Carol . Whether we spent to much on him will be irrelevant really if we stop up
Its a great time to be a Blade !
 



It's understandable the amount of top drawer strikers they've had over the last decade.
