Im not gonna claim anything other than I said he was under rated by a lot and was a better player than people made out. I said with a run he would keep himself heavily involved... His stats and involvement have been a touch higher than expected though, so I'm not going the claim a prediction :)

We have a mutual friend who will tell you I've rated him since day 1.

Lundstram is technically very, very good. His speed of thought let's him down.

If he can work on that he'll be here years.
Step forward John Lundstram.

Just got a feeling that he's going to step up next season. No nonsense, brick shit house when we need him.
If you watch Lundstram closely, he's an excellent footballer in a technical sense.

His speed of thought let's him down sometimes but last season he was much improved from the player trying to fill Coutts' berth post Burton and I'm backing him to improve further.

I'm pretty much the John Lundstram fanclub on here, feel like I've been sticking up for him for ages (apart from Barnet) but this season, he'll show a few people.

Seems to be one of the players Wilder trusts most, so there's obviously something there.

Claiming it. I don't get many.

Happy to hold my hands up and say I’m wrong. The improvement he’s shown and the role Wilder and Knill have created for him are both to be admired.

I don’t think anyone can say ‘I told you so’ or be a smart arse when it comes to Lunny. No one saw this coming.

Except me, immediately after the Stoke City game last season. Oh, how they laughed 😂😂

Ahead of the crowd, as ever...

I can, been a Lunny fan since day 1.....check my posts!

Let’s just be glad that he’s developing into an integral part of our team. This season he’s been the stand out performer since the first pre season friendly.

The only people who can take any kudos from this development are those who identified his potential at Oxford and signed him.

All this ‘I said he was good two years ago’ and ‘check my posts, I’ve been a fan since day one’ is pathetic. None of us are football pundits, no one gives a flying fuck what you said or when you said it. It’s just a Blades forum where people express their opinion, some will be right, others wrong. But it’s not going to change anyone’s life, ffs get a life you sad bastards 🤔

You'll find mine in 17/18. This lad is one of our best player technically but got hounded because he wasn't Paul Coutts, who was tailor made for our system, and extremely technically adept. Lundstram's two footed, can pass long or short and can tackle. If he was quicker in forward and defensive transitions, having such a player would be a pipe dream (this unfortunately will define his 'ceiling'). I'm happy to say I predicted his rise in his first season with the Blades alongside Stevens' and Baldock's. I can only remember one female Blade sticking up for Lunny in 17/18 on here despite several mom performances (Derby away, Sunderland home, Forest away).
An awful lot were blinded by that fraud Lee Evans who hasn't a tenth of the technical ability nor an ounce of his character.

What a shame, I was planning my new cult around being correct about John Lundstram being decent.

Was hoping for 10,000 loyal followers to have their lives completely turned around by my prescience and contribute their life savings to my personal bank account.

Sorry that is just not true....no where near. UTB

Depends what was meant by "killer balls". When it comes to lofted throughballs (to use Fifa terminology), on the basis of this season I'd definitely say Lundstram has excelled above Norwood there. However, Norwood's switching of play, the vision and technique and variety of his diagonals, is absolutely phenomenal, and not something Lundstram has shown to be a major part of his game (yet).

Great to have players with both of those abilities in the team, especially when we have a Fleck or Freeman alongside them; better dribblers/more agile, more likely to have a run at the opposition defence and slot a short, low through-ball through the lines in the attacking third - though I think both Fleck and Freeman could do plenty more of this than we've seen so far
