After Wilder’s post match ranting about effort being the minimum I thought we could have at least expected a committed performance from players pushing to get in the side. What we actually got was a half arsed performance where players seemed more bothered about avoiding injury than anything else. Tonight has made a mockery of those calling for Besic in for Lundstram and Jags in for Bash. The only players to come away with any credit should be Mousset, Moore and perhaps Ravel. Keiran Freeman had one of his worst performances ever he looked disinterested and the rumours about his body fat certainly look believable he was knackered after 60 mins of not doing a lot. Don’t let the score line paper over the cracks that second XI looks way off the pace. Still it’s made picking Saturdays team easier. We need hope to god JOC and Baldock don’t pick up any injuries as we will be struggle.

On a side note I’m glad Mowbray isn’t our manager even before his little outburst at the ball boy I couldn’t bare to listen to his constant stream of verbal diarrhoea to his players. None of whom were paying any attention.

Was embarrassing at times today. We was out played and robbed a win. None of the players really come out of it with any credit. Jags was shocking and panicked every time he saw the ball to say he is meant to be the cool calm head at the back it was horrendous. Norwood had a unusually bad game and couldn't pass a ball 5 yards. Only players that can really come out of it with any credit is the strikers as they never received the ball as we give it away before it even got up top. Moore can have some credit as well as he saved the pen if that had have gone in and we had have gone behind I think that would have been game over on that performance.

If you put 11 blokes who haven’t played competitive football on a pitch they won’t click and play well straight away. If you put one or two of those blokes in the first 11 surrounded by players that have been playing week in week out then they will play better. That’s it really.

I do agree with that but would be nice to see some desire from players to force themselves into the 11 rather than just waiting for a injury.

I feel for fans that have paid to watch that but it was always a possibility wasn't it.

It was fucking awful by and large.

Played zero football, particularly nothing from the back - a total unwillingness to play short and through the lines resulted in us twatting it fifty yards to Sharp on many an occasion.

Norwood, Ravel, K.Freeman might have been better staying in bed. Quite how Ravel got MoM is beyond me!

Only players to really do anything IMO were Moore, Mousset and L.Freeman, and Besic got around fairly well but hardly helped us set any tempo.

All in all a thoroughly boring performance that was somehow good enough to get us through.

Hilariously/depressingly wank depending on your viewpoint. But no reserve league really nowadays so, useful for them to get a game in, and we're through for another. That's about it for positives. Osborn looks decent and puts in a shift too. Jags had a poor game and looked like he knew it, as did Besic (some good challenges though).

'Ravel' getting MOTM was plain funny. Get 'Morrison' on the back of your shirt son. And yep, Kieran Freeman, pretty embarrassing

Some good signs from some of the players in the second half besic and ravel did well Mousett did well but could tell he was slightly off the pace, same with Osborn but he did better whenever he came into the midfield

With Chelsea on Saturday I wouldn't have risked any of the regulars. He gave his fringe players a chance and some of them took it in 2nd half

Jags wasn't dreadful? Really was you watching the same game as me? He is meant to be the experienced calm man at the back and was the total opposite I think he made about 2 good tackles all game other than that looked very shakey and far from the cool composed man we need him and want him to be. I don't really credit the strikers but couldn't blame them either as they had no service to them at all with out coming and collecting the ball well into our own half and running the full length of the pitch on there own what was they meant to do. Mousset looks quick but again and seems to be able to get around the back of defenders and make some thing of balls in behind again though didn't really have enough decent balls to say how class he looks seen him play 2x now and one he looked well off the pace and not fit at all and today he looked decent and looked like he wanted to get runs in behind so I'll look forward to seeing more of him but not going to say he looks class just yet.
