I'd agree, make sure they go in a sensible sequence, so people who genuinely have been going previously get first option. Tickets to ST holders to pass on after that, so they can go to supporters from a known source. Only problem with unrestricted general sale is ending up with 1000 west ham fans in the blut if they've sold out their allocation.
Guard against that and get the sequencing right, everybody is happy (or they'll whinge about something else at least........)

Exactly, just a bit of a thought process from those in charge and it really shouldn’t be too hard to address.

I’ve done my calculations and for the ‘fans’ with less than 500 points, since the implementation of this scheme, they have had to attend a maximum of 5 games out of around 300 games we have played at home during that time. It seems to me most of them just want to come to see the Premier League teams and not the Blades. I understand there are young children who won’t have had the chance to get some points so they are penalised as well.

I think the spare tickets should be sold to the season ticket holders and they can bring a friend if they want, or if someone hasn’t got 500 loyalty points they should be allowed to buy a ticket on their own account but have a season ticket holder vouch for them and to bear the responsibility should the tickets end up in either the wrong hands or on the resale sites.

I said people who haven't been don't deserve the right to be able to buy a ticket whenever they want

If there are 30 thousand blades who have built up enough loyalty points to get one before them then why should they miss out ?

As someone said, just walk into the ticket office and explain and they will sell you a ticket or ring them and explain.

Or you know... Just don't do either and post on a message board whinging about it. (not aimed at you specifically BTW, just a general thought)

Even following the process, the system isn't even 3 games old and you could have already have got 300 points, getting 500 over the course of the season will be a piece of piss then you are good for all of the future.

...and this doesn't apply to me I have 15,000 loyalty points and my kids now have more than 500. So yes I can just whinge about it on a message board.

Just let season ticket holders or members with say 10,000 loyalty points buy a second ticket for u14's. Allows us to encourage potential new supporters who are family/friends of Blades fans to come in priority to adult "tourists" who already support other clubs.

Although maybe I am wrong and as other supporters in this thread have said we can just say "sod off you don't deserve one"

My other young un is now at the stage where he wants to come to the Lane with me and his big brother. He is a member and has 300 points. He went to the Palace game which he really enjoyed and is coming to the Blackburn game which will give him 450 points. Thus I can't take him to the Leicester game unless the restrictions are relaxed in some way. I wouldn't mind this so much if the system was allowing other loyal and more deserving blades to get tickets before him but it isn't! It seems that its just locking fans out as there will be a number of unsold tickets left on the Bramall Lane end that no one with the necessary points want and other fans can't buy. As stated previously by a number on here this is hitting the younger generation and any new fans who now want to attend.

You can buy a kids season ticket easy enough
Don't know how much they are but you can upgrade it to an adults if you can't make the game and sell it on or go with someone else

I emailed them and told them I didn't have enough points to buy a ticket and they automatic bumped me up to 500

There are 26000 season tickets and 5000 available seats
So 5000 lucky season ticket winners get to take their friends or foreign visitors or youngsters who may or may not enjoy the occasion while everyone else watches on an illegal stream at home

I think people are moaning about nothing people who support the truly big clubs have to pay an arm and a leg for a season ticket or from a ticket agency or they don't get in the stadium

In a word yes, someone did exactly that for their kid and were allowed to purchase a ticket for them. They posted on here that they had done it and someone above said they just got bumped to 500 by asking.

But yes, whinging is far more productive

Yes because lots of fans do go when when we are in the prem compared to league one.

I'm not pulling up.anything it's highly likely I won't be getting to any more games this season as I won't be able to get a ticket but do I think I deserve one more than anyone else ?

So a kid gets to go to his first game and thousands of United fans who can't afford a season ticket miss out

At what point though? When their category of points comes up? Or if we don’t sell all tickets at 500 points?

If it’s the former, then someone with 40,000 points can get a ticket for his kid who’s never been before in front of me, who’s been supporting them for forty years.

If it’s the latter, someone with 40,000 points has to wait to see if we sell out at 500 points before he can buy a ticket for him and his kid.

You do realise that you have to be on the club's database to but a ticket anyway wether you have points or not and that if you allow the 26000 season ticket holders to bring along a friend the ground would be at 150 percent of its capacity ?
