I'll be shocked if The Stram doesn't play though. One half decent performance should guarantee him the next 10 games.
 
I would like to see morrison start. In a few club debuts he’s had, he has contributed a great deal.

whu - 1 goal on full debut
cardiff - motm
lazio - 2 goals 2 assists

and with the bdtbl crowd roused and behind him for our first PL home game in 13 years, Wilder might have this in mind. Ravel seems like a bit of a confidence player.
 
I will be surprised if it’s not he same side that started a Bournemouth.

The only change I think CW May consider is McBurnie for Mcgoldrick.

Lundstram is a nailed on starter.
 
It'll be the same side I imagine but would like to see a 10 in midfield instead of the flat 3. Lunny to come off earlier for Freeman...

I would be surprised at home v Palace if Lunny starts. Surely we have to set up with an attacking midfielder, that's what has always worked at the Lane.
 
Hasn't anyone appreciated that attempting to second guess Wilder is pointless? Our manager will, with the assistance of those closest to him, select a team based on factors he feels are relevant to a specific game. Whether we agree or not, it's his call.....and before anyone states the obvious, yes, it's a forum based on anyone saying anything, which tends to give strength to the fact that Wilder won't be distracted as he decides who plays where.

McGoldrick and Sharp deserve to play so it's a tough one. I'd certainly have Ravel on the subs bench and maybe bring him on with either Sharp or Didsy after an hour. To be frank I know nothing about football. After watching it for over 60 years I'm still confused. :)

That’s how I see the starting 11 too.

I’m sure Luke Freeman will start, so it’s choosing 2 up front from McBurnie, Robinson, McGoldrick and Sharp.
Wouldn’t surprise if he starts with last seasons main 2 of McGoldrick and Sharp with McBurnie and Robinson as subs.
Also agree with you that Ravel Morrison will be sub and I’m sure Wilder will give him some game time to ease him back into PL football.

Think Sharp will lead us our as reward for him scoring last week....it’s a sentimental touch but he deserves it and it would give the crowd a big lift.
If we plan to pin Palace back and do plenty of attacking....then Sharp is a great person to have in the team.

Oh dear.......listen carefully son, I'd already stated the fact that as a forum, anyone can say (more or less) what they like. just as I've done, yet you appear to want to prevent free speech? So, what is it, are you anti or pro free speech? Rather than skim through a post, do try and read it carefully, you're letting yourself down by not scrutinising more carefully.
 
Same as last week but with Freeman instead of Lundstram. Reckon at home, vs a probably relegation rival we'll be going more attacking.
 
Personally, I hold the belief that, contrary to what many, I suspect, aim to achieve by publishing their recommended team sheets on this forum, our manager, indeed, our leader, our messiah, will not be influenced as he is - thankfully - very much his own man and in a position of great strength from which to carefully consider, select and name his starting team, based on all resources available to him - resources of course, which aren't available to us, the supporters. It goes without saying, or at least it should, to anyone with a modicum of intellect, that we should unanimously defer to him on these matters, rendering threads like this rather inappropriate - and some would say disrespectful. While many can't resist and are sure they know best, despite never having achieved multiple promotions in professional football, I am utterly content to sit back, relax, and await with great anticipation the confirmation of our manager's selection decisions come Sunday, the day we match up against Crystal Palace Football Club, while leaving you this educational message to ponder.
 
As much as I'd like Billy and didsy to.start I've just got this nagging feeling we'd have to change it early doors but what do I know ?

If Freeman isn’t going to start against Palace at home then it does make you wonder when he is going to start..

Can’t see us being more adventurous against Leicester or Chelsea than Palace.

No idea why we would start the same team. It was the changes that got us a point. Any half decent performing team would have punished us. Start the game on the front foot.
 
I want us to go out and be positive. Start an AM, take the game to them.

Hope we will but doesnt seem likely. Hopefully we aren't having to chase the game, I think we could win it it in the 1st half if we go at them

Palace won 9 away games last season, including at Man City. They've been very good at keeping clean sheets and hitting teams on the break. Last weekend's tactics worked well for us against another team whose main strength is counter attacking. There's an argument for keeping similar tactics and let them show their limitations in possession.

There’s also an argument it worked a lot better for us when we attacked and played our usual game.

Not denying there's tactical merit. I just want us to be on the front foot in winnable games. Rake the initiative. We showed all last year that we can defend without being defensive

Following an hour of denying them space, upsetting their rhythm, preventing them from using their strength, forcing them into a style that they weren't good at and ending up looking very frustrated. Shame about the goal we did concede and maybe we could have made changes a little earlier, but otherwise I thought our tactics were spot on last weekend.

Tbh I saw the game differently. I thought we got away with it with Bournemouth. Think most teams would have beaten us comfortably with Us performing like we did pre changes . I was furious with how we played until Billy scored. First how we seemingly abandoned our philosophy and then when it showed we were ten times better when we played our way. I’m sure we would have beaten a poor Bournemouth had we started the way we finished. But I’m hoping it was just first match nerves, we will see against palace.
