I thought once the subs were on and Wilder released the handbrake we looked like our usual selves. From 75 minutes Norwood ran the game, Stevens & Baldock bombed on and Billy did what Billy does.

Nothing to fear, start the games as we finished this one.

That was what really frustrated me today, we weren’t ourselves till the end. We played how people expected us to.

I don't think there's anything to complain about today shape wise. I think first 45 back in the Prem, there's going to be nerves, and it was sensible to start a bit more cautiously. Tbh though I still thought once we settled down first half we played some decent stuff. 2nd half was great and like you say I think we looked pretty natural and matched Bournemouth with relative ease. So great to see the options off the bench we have now - lots of different types of player to change things up. All the subs were effective. Freeman looked great. McBurnie is so awkward to play against. And Billy... well what can you say??? Legend!

We only played like we usually do because:
a) we were chasing and had nothing to lose
b) Bournemouth definitely sat back the last 15 mins.

Did they sit back...or did we press them back? And if they were sitting back, surely that tells you everything about how they felt we were playing, trying to protect a point at home against a newly promoted side instead of going for the kill??

I think I remember early on into his first season with us he was m,ade a scapegoat, much like Lundstram, and now he's one of the first names on the teamsheet.

Exactly - and tbh he did go through a very sticky spell for a while. Fantastic how he's developed. I think we'll only see him get even better this season.

Very fair point, we did sit back off their back line most of the game until we went behind. So I probably agree with you.

Please don’t try telling me lundstrams going to turn it around like Stevens?! If he does I’ll eat every word I’ve ever said about the kid but do t think I’ll have to!

Why couldn't he? He's still young.

Granted he is but he doesn’t have enough for me. Hope he proves me wrong but I just can’t see it

Looked fine against a very good player in Fraser. Next week we will see just how good Enda is against Zaha.
