Neal Maupay

Maupay is exactly what we need a young goalscorer Robinson McBurnie and Maupay will give us real options
Dont deny hed improve us but you forgot Mousett, Sharp and Didzy on your list. I'm not sure upfront is our biggest area of need. Weve already got 5 forwards to fill 2 spots so unless you are advocating Sharp or Didzy leaving I would think a midfield enforcer who can play and another defender would be higher up Wilders list of wants.

A Brentford fan on their forum reckons NM will now probably go to Villa for 15 million plus add-ons.
It’s funny how Les, New Bee and co aren’t correcting him about the 20 million up front selling price and not a penny less.
Remember how they were so proud to announce that Brentford are the only club in the UK that doesn’t negotiate, they set a price and that’s it.
It was a few days ago Banana was telling them their self imposed transfer window has now shut and the price has now gone up to 25 million, so he’s likely to stay.

Their fans are all saying he’s been left out of the squad because their club want to sell him and he must be leaving.
It’s funny how Les, New Bee and Co aren’t telling their own fans “no bids” or telling them “they have no financial worries so don’t need to sell”.

Their fans are wanting answers regards what’s going on at their club behind the scenes regards NM.
It’s funny how the self proclaimed ITK Banana man has gone into hiding and now doesn’t have a clue what’s happening being the scenes apart from “no bids”.

Moral of the story, they should have kept their powder dry and listened to Pinchy.

I said a while ago that Banana isn’t ITK, his story changed depending upon what Sky Sport News were saying each day.

Maupay will leave and they won’t get anywhere near £20m for him, they’ll be lucky if they get £15m

No chance. I can say this as there have been....no bids.

I'm on holiday mate. You lot seem to have a bit of an obsession about us, I can imagine most on here are heartily sick of it.....

It doesn't mean much. He didn't play, probably because he isn't match fit because he didn't really fully participate in preseason training. All the bollocks we were told about how he absolutely had participated and would as good as ever was just that, bollocks.

I suppose there's an outside chance that they held him back because there is interest and they don't want to risk injuring a 20mill player, or perhaps wonderful Maupay who is completely committed to Brentford and their magnificent model could have just been a sulky prick because his agent's agitating achieved nothing. But obviously it's not going to be that and instead all part of the masterplan in which losing to Birmingham was a key part. I'm sure some Bees will be along soon to tell us.

And as if by magic they appear.

Well I think Banana is in the know enough to know the names of the 4 players we expect to sign in the next few days As for Maupay, as widely predicted, it will go down to the wire and no one knows whether he will be a Brentford player next week., no matter how well connected

One of My best mates is in a prominent position at united (itk). The moral of the story: never trust anyone who claims they know exactly how a transfer/transfer window will turn out. Things change in a instant, backup plans are ignited just as quickly. Anybody claiming to know the exact price on a players head doesn't have the foggiest. The club loses the majority of their power when a player has two years on their deal. Is pretty much powerless when it drops to one year. Brentford need the deal to happen now while
they still have a modicum of control. The rest is hot air...

Actually, further to my post #4,311, you're right, there are still some flats available in the scheme for less than £500k:
https://ecoworldlondon.com/places-to-live/verdo-kew-bridge
Though £435k for a 1 bedder in Ivy House hardly constitutes "well under".
Two bed flats start at £592k, btw.
I know I’m right, that’s why is said check your facts. 65k less, using your example. Brentford is fairly expensive, but it’s not knightsbridge champ. There’s more than a few in and around the area, let’s be honest.

You may have picked up that plenty of the members do indeed live and work outside of S2 4SU. Some exist even in London and the SE!! Unlike your beloved buzzy bees, we have fans all over the world you know 👍🏼

You're on holiday... but checking the SUFC forum.. and then suggesting we have an obsession about you?? Are you taking your annual leave in the Priory Roehampton?

Someone mentioned me, thought I'd take a look. Not huge amounts more to do laying by a pool.

Hello Brentford, are you really expecting to sign 4 before the deadline? What are their names?

There could be the possibility of you being very strong, Brentford. But will you cope with higher expectations and being tipped by many to do well? Is your manager good enough? These are the questions I have for you Brentford.

Young bands don’t make money from making CDs as the listening is too limited to the person buying it. In fact it can become more popular with a wider audience. when the argument is put forward that ‘you only earn a tenner from it in a year’ it is time to consider another profession as in real terms it would equate to a cd, to put it bluntly you are not popular and like most bands will not likely succeed , do it as a hobby. Hope you get a break through by the way.
How encouraging to someone with a passion for creativity. You sound like my dad. Get a real job son😱😉

Well, this thread was fun while it lasted but looks like all is done now. :( Have a good season.

Neal Maupay to Brighton. Benrhama gone to Villa. Could be a long season for the Bees. They're two big losses.

As posted previously, I'm pretty sure ourselves and Brighton had deals agreed with Brentford and Maupay, but he hung on for something bigger (Villa, West Ham, Palace...), when it never came through he came back to ourselves & Brighton. We'd moved on. They hadn't.

I don't think I agree with people thinking Villa will do a Fulham. Their signings have been impressive.
