
Brilliant! Well said mate! I have to work with these trendy London corporate-speak types. They just repeat whatever trendy phrases are going around and don't even stop to consider for a moment that they are speaking a version of English that is nonsensical and sounds rather silly. Oh and the way they end every sentence on a rising tone, so it sounds like they are asking a question! I love to interrupt them when they do this and ask...
"sorry, was that a question?"
It doesn't stop them though. They can't help it.
"an I was like, an he was like, an she was like, an they were like....." Like what FFS? If you are going to start a simile then finish the damn thing, or use a metaphor instead!
